So far, my fresh start is turning out to be a false start.

ERIN
After my messy break-up, I needed a change of scenery like a heart needs a beat.
This live-in nanny gig was supposed to push me out of my comfort zone.
But it may have pushed me too far because I’ve landed in the middle of a cow farm.
Miles away from civilization.
Working for a grumpy widower who clearly isn’t ready to let someone else help with his kids.
Too bad for both of us, we don’t really have a choice.

JOSH
Where did they find this girl and who wears high heels to a cattle ranch?
And she’s a vegetarian, for Christ’s sake.
I still can’t believe I let my family talk me into this one.
If people see her coming and going from my house…
If they get word she lives with me…
…they’ll start talking.
It’s a small town. That’s what people do.
You learn to live with the gossip, but if they start saying I’ve moved on from my wife…
That’s one rumor I can’t tolerate.

This Broken Heart is a heart and heat filled novel about a small-town widower trying to muddle through life as a single parent. It’s tough to carry on with a broken heart. Erin was hired to help with the day to day. Like a super-charged ray of sunshine, she’s shining light on all the things he was missing. But moving on is easier said than done.
