Imagine: You swear you’re done with football players—especially your ex’s teammates. One look at Asher Knox, though, and it’s game over. He’s the star quarterback with a body built to break hearts and a devilish grin that sets your pulse racing.
You tell yourself it’s just physical. A fling you can keep off the radar—no drama, no attachments, no problem. But one late-night study session in the library becomes a stolen kiss… then another… until neither of you can resist the hunger that sparks every time you lock eyes.
Suddenly, “just one night” turns into mornings tangled in his sheets, whispered confessions in the dark, and secrets you can barely keep. The heat between you is scorching, but so are the consequences. His sports career is on the line. Your plans for grad school are looming. And if anyone finds out you’re hooking up with your ex’s star teammate? Let’s just say it’ll be one hell of a scandal.
But sometimes, you have to risk it all for the chance at something real. And the only question left is whether you’ll both come out winners—or wind up sidelined by heartbreak.

The Backup is a full-length, spicy standalone romance packed with heat, heart, some comedy, and plenty of drama—complete with a guaranteed happily-ever-after.
