She must convince him to get married…to another woman.
Prince Luka, second in line to the Drakazov Kingdom, once loved the spotlight. Now, having seen the horrors of war, he prefers to hide from the world. And from his former best friend, Maya.

When Maya invites herself to his estate, Luka cannot send her away…not when he still remembers the heated night they shared before he left for the front.
Arcanepunk inventor Lady Maya is not just visiting an old friend, however. Sick of her father’s attempts to marry her off, she’s arrived with an agenda: Crown Princess Annika has promised her freedom from her father’s schemes—if she can convince Luka to accept a strategically advantageous engagement.
As Maya helps Luka heal, she’s shaken by how easy it would be to fall for him again. When the time comes to give him up to another woman, will Maya be able to do it?
And will Luka ever forgive her for her lies?
