A new business. A mysterious stranger. And a tenacious duck.
A recipe for disaster? Or the triple sevens in winning love’s jackpot?

Spunky Alex Gray appears to have it all—a thriving business, a hunky new boyfriend, and a fresh sense of purpose. But as her grandfather often says, everything’s temporary. As a perpetual winner, Alex finds herself struggling when life starts to unravel. Could her lucky streak be coming to an end? Or will a gruff, out-of-work journalist help turn her fortune around?
Travel writer Brody Collins needs a quiet place to regroup. Recently fired and dumped—a brutal one-two punch he didn’t see coming—his perfect world is instantly upended. A lakeside cottage in the mountains of New Hampshire seems like the ideal atmosphere to lick his wounds and rethink life. But the feisty cabin manager makes his visit anything but peaceful.

Her career is a recently launched rocket. His is a smoldering crater. But when fortunes change, and it all goes sideways, do they each have something to help the other? Emotions run hot in the cold mountain air as an unlikely alliance is forged. Could that partnership eventually lead to love?

Short and sassy meets big and brooding in this closed-door, small-town rom-com.
