Facing death in a fire is nothing compared to the dangers of dating…
Lieutenant Mateo Soto has long been the ‘love ’em and leave ’em type,’ which is normal for the men of Firehouse 15. But a chance encounter with police officer Isadora Reyes has him rethinking his stance on commitment.

Or he was until the hand of fate gives him an unexpected chance. He can be promoted to captain of 15 if he does the tiny favor of destroying the career of another firefighter—the only woman in the department.

Isadora isn’t going to like this, and she cuffs bad guys for a living…

Warning: This is a naughty HFN prequel to the MetroGen After Hours. Do not read if you prefer whiny women rather than a kick-ass woman who can face down a grizzly bear while unarmed and dressed like a hooker. (Yes, you read that right!)
