When graphic designer Mandy Peterson unexpectedly loses her apartment due to a gas leak, moving in with her longtime friend, firefighter Sterling Hayes, seems like the perfect temporary solution. Their platonic arrangement works seamlessly until Mandy’s overbearing parents arrive for an unannounced visit, immediately jumping to conclusions about their living situation. To avoid disappointing them yet again, Mandy impulsively claims she and Sterling are dating.

What begins as a harmless two-week charade quickly spirals out of control. Fake hand-holding evolves into electric touches, and staged kisses ignite a genuine desire that neither of them anticipated. Sharing a bed for authenticity forces them to confront everything they thought they understood about friendship and love.
As Mandy’s manipulative ex-boyfriend resurfaces to complicate matters and her parents push for an engagement, she and Sterling must navigate the treacherous waters between performance and passion. When the line between pretend and reality blurs completely, they face a pivotal decision: are they brave enough to risk their cherished friendship for something that could be so much more?

Some arrangements are too good to be fake.
