Finding the twin I never knew I had? — Easy.
Protecting the love of my life? That’s going to take everything I’ve got.

Kai Davies
You’re supposed to be able to trust your father, right? Nope. I always knew he was an evil so-and-so, but lying to me about who I was? That was a new low. So here I am in Jasper Creek, Tennessee trying to find out if the dreams that have plagued me all my life are real. Do I really have a twin brother? What is he like? And what can I tell him after all the years of deception?

Marlowe Jones
Teaching is all I ever wanted to do. When school bullies viciously attacked a girl, it was second-nature for me to step in and stop it. Little did I know how far the bullies’ powerful parents would go to destroy my life. Getting fired from my private school was only the beginning. Now I’m here in Jasper Creek, Tennessee, five hundred miles away from home, keeping my head down and trying to settle into a quiet little life. Easy, if it weren’t for the gorgeous and fascinating Kai Davies, with secrets of his own.

Just when I figure out how to fit Kai into my life, my past finds me, rearing its ugly head, and I mean ugly. Kai is determined to be my hero, but I don’t need one. I’ll handle everything myself like I always do. Then ugly turns to frightening, and frightening turns to deadly and then I turn to Kai. But is it too late
