Man Advantage
She bets her grumpy dating coach he can’t find her true love.
She never expects him to be the answer.
I came to Santa Capinari to find my true love. Now I’m waiting tables, dreaming of stand-up comedy, and very much infatuated with a man who doesn’t do relationships. Brett Selleck is gorgeous, grumpy, ten years older than me, and absolutely not interested in anything to do with me. I know because I offered. Kinda.
So, I make him a bet instead. He finds me true love, I find him a no-strings-attached fling, and whoever succeeds first wins. Brett agrees so fast that I am almost insulted. Then he appoints himself my dating coach because he thinks I don’t know how to attract a good guy.
His lessons are very thorough, and sometimes, we both get a little carried away. But then his grandfather issues an ultimatum. Brett needs to get engaged by his grandfather’s eightieth birthday or lose the family trust that he needs to honor the best friend he lost. Guess which idiot volunteers to play his fiancée.
It’s only meant to be one family weekend. Sure, we have to share a bed and pretend we’re in love. I don’t anticipate us being as talented at acting as we both seem to be.
He bet he could find me the right man.
Now he just has to admit he already has.
Tropes: Grumpy/sunshine, a bet, dating coach, fake engagement, only one bed, age gap, ex-SEAL protector, wounded hero, small-town romance, and found family.
