Devious Bastard
Alexis
Groveton College has always been a dream too far out of reach—a desire I coveted but could never obtain.
Then, my rash mother married a billionaire who offered me the chance to attend Groveton. He’ll fund everything, with minor stipulations, of course. Should be easy enough, right?
There’s just one huge walking red flag of a problem: my new stepbrother, Evan freaking Whitmore. Although he’s sexy as sin, I despise his cocky, overbearing attitude the second we lock eyes. At least, that’s what I tell myself.
Evan has everyone fooled except me. They think he’s a king who can do no wrong. But I know better. He’s playing games, and I’m determined not to be his pawn. I’ll protect my heart at all costs and beat the king at his own game.
Evan
When I first saw Alexis Morgan, I wasn’t overly impressed. Beautiful, shallow women are a dime a dozen in the elite world I’ve grown up in, and I was convinced she was no different. She opened that fiery little mouth, spewing insults at me like I didn’t affect her.
I’m convinced Lexi and her mother are only after my father’s money, and I’m determined to expose them. The easiest way for me to do that is to break down every one of Lexi’s walls, studying her inside and out until I know her better than she knows herself. And once she lets me inside, I’ll obtain the evidence I need to expose her and her mother as the gold-digging tramps they are.
There’s just one slight problem. The more I get to know Lexi, the more obsessive I become. She’s genuine and pure, causing lines to blur between us. I’m determined to make her mine, risking everything, including my heart that I’ve built an impenetrable fortress around.
Will Lexi end up being my downfall, beating me at my own game?
