Life was good for Lieutenant Commander Dexter Dawson. A career he loved, and a beautiful woman filling his time between missions. But his world comes crashing down when Lieutenant Kelly Kimber is captured by terrorists. Ignoring orders, Dexter goes rogue with his team to bring home the woman who has been in his life since the day she was born.

No training could have prepared Kelly for the horror of her captivity. The reality of what happened leaves her broken, afraid and confused. Once, she would have given anything to hear Dexter say I love you. Now, she isn’t sure it’s enough.

Dexter must deal with the aftermath of his actions, face up to his faults and insecurities, and find a way to get back the woman he loves as she tries to fight her demons.

When the terrorists who captured her return for revenge, Dexter and Kelly are targeted. Dexter will do whatever it takes to protect her, determined to prove he can be the man she needs him to be. Even if that means giving his own life.
