“Yeah, in bed but—”

He grabs my wrist. “Non, in everything.”

We stare at each other for a loaded second, and there’s no way he doesn’t see that I want that too.

“Even if. This is not easy for me, okay? I’ve got a lot of shit in my head. Trauma. Baggage. I don’t want to unload that all on her, and it’s already unfair to you.”

“I’m sorry.” Luc’s eyes soften as he pulls me toward him, and I let him. “But Alaina would never hurt you. You trust her, and she trusts you. I mean, you let me have you.”

“You’re different.” I look away, frowning toward where she disappeared. “And even with you, I need to be careful, really. I know it’s not fair. I’m not saying all women are the same. I know they’re not, but Isla was the only woman I’ve ever been with, and she burned me.”

“Isla’s a bitch. Alaina isn’t, not even close.”

I swallow. “Even if I could let go of that, Isla and I… we just kissed. I’ve never actually done more than that with a woman before. I wouldn’t even know what to do.”

“It’s probably not okay for me to tell you this, but Alaina’s inexperienced too. She’s not gonna judge you. You’ve got me, both of you do.” Luc shrugs. “I can show you stuff.”

I scoff. “Luc, the sex teacher, huh?”

Before I can even fully smirk at the idea, he slides a hand into my hair and yanks me to him, kissing me. His mouth is hot against mine as his hand slides down my abs and cups my crotch with a teasing pressure that has me twitching in his grip. Luc kisses like he’s got something to prove, like every pass of his tongue and every tug of my hair is a challenge. But beneath all that bravado I’ve pushed against for years, I know he’s warm and open, and I like the way he softens when I take over the kiss, moving my mouth against him with a slower, more languid pace.

He pulls away before trailing his lips down my jaw, and it somehow feels like stalling. Then he pauses, letting out a shaky breath before murmuring, “Only if you teach me stuff too. I’ve never gone further than this with a guy, I mean.”

“You haven’t?”

Jesus Christ, this man is like a sexy Rubik’s cube. Last year, I was convinced he was straight, then I thought he was gay, and now he’s bisexual but new to it?

He shrugs. “Didn’t think about it much growing up. Honestly, before Petite, I thought I was straight or straight enough.”

Ah. My stomach dips. There it is.

“And now?”

“Now I already handed in my straight card for her,” he says with a breathy laugh that’s more tender than mocking. “And I’ve got a French love song playing in my head every time you look at me. I’ve got no fucking clue what I’m doing. Mon Dieu, I want to learn from you so badly.”

My stomach flips, then settles back exactly where it belongs.

Straight card revoked, gay panic initiated, and here I am with front row seats to the Luc Delacroix bisexual awakening.

Yeah. I can absolutely work with that.

He nips my earlobe, and a full-body shiver overtakes me. I grab the counter to steady myself, but my cock is already hard again, just from his words and the image of cocky Luc spread out and needy, letting me touch him. Finger him.

Fuck.

“I’ll teach you,” I say, and he chuckles at how breathless it sounds.

“And what about Alaina? Can I keep dreaming about that little scene from earlier? And maybe hope it becomes real?”

I exhale slowly, my body tight with too much want. “I think you can.”

If it were anyone else, I’d run, but it’s her, and she’s already under my skin.

Even if I can’t have her on my own, having her close like this?

Having them.

It might be more than I ever hoped to have.
