He pressed his forehead to mine. “Mrs. Incredibly Handsome Man. It has a certain ring to it.”

I started to laugh then squealed as he dipped me backward and sealed our love with his kiss... a kiss I knew I would never grow tired of. A kiss from my Pretty Boy.

EPILOGUE

Wesley

8 months later...

“I’m gonna throw some shrimp on the barbie!” Marcus joked in an Australian accent from our outdoor balcony overlooking the ocean.

“Throw a bunch of shrimps on the barbie. I’m hungry, man!” Knox called back from his perch on my couch. He gripped the game controller tight as he guided his car down the virtual streets.

“Boom!” I cheered as I ran him off the road. It crashed and broke apart, sending his animated body catapulting through the air.

“Oh! Brutal, man!” He pushed my shoulder, but I just laughed and kept speeding away.

I didn’t get more than a block before my car got slammed by a huge tractor. My mouth dropped as I looked to see Piper’s character sitting behind the wheel.

“What the what?” I gasped, turning to see her grinning from her spot on the floor beside Knox’s son, Luca.

“Boom right back atcha, baby,” she said as she drove her tractor over my car, squishing it completely.

“Oh yeah, girl!” Knox laughed. “That’s what I’m talking about! Crush Pretty Boy for what he did to my ride.”

She stuck out her fist, and he bumped it. “I got your back, teammate.”

I stuck out my foot and nudged her in the leg. “Hey, I’m a teammate too! And your husband, dammit!”

“Mama says we shouldn’t say dammit,” Luca said from the floor, his big brown eyes looking up at me.

“Oops. Sorry. I meant darn it.”

“Yeah. Watch it, baby.” Piper handed him her controller and stood up, giving me a cocky grin. “You and your potty mouth.”

I caught her by the wrist and yanked her down into my lap. We’d only been married two months, but things were going so smoothly that it felt like we’d been a couple forever. We just clicked.

I kissed her deeply before setting her back on her feet and watching her walk out onto the porch to join Marcus on the BBQ.

“Who wants brats, and who wants burgers?” Marcus asked.

We all started calling out our orders, and Marcus shook his head. “Okay. This is too disorganized. Hands up for brats.”

Irene, Knox, and I lifted our hands.

“And burgers?”

Lucia, Piper, Knox, and Marcus lifted theirs.

“Three brats, four burgers. Wait. There are only six of us. The kids are doing mac-n-cheese,” Piper said.

Knox grinned. “I’m having one of each.”

“Ahh,” she said back with a smile. “I forget how much you can put down.”

“That’s my man. It’s a good thing I love cooking,” his wife, Lucia, stepped behind him, bending over to give him a kiss. Her pregnant belly swelled and brushed the back of the couch.

“Seriously. You are such an amazing cook,” I said. “And I still need that lasagna recipe.”
