“Everything.” She falls against me. “Please make it stop spinning.”
I shake my head. “We’re going up, not around.”
She shoves her hand in my face. “Don’t say … around.”
The doors open allowing us out to drag ass to our room. Sleep comes fast, and morning way too soon.
“Can someone tell me why we never closed the shades?” Willow whispers.
Millie stumbles into the room. “Bright light, bright light!” saying as she falls to her knees and finally, her face.
“Are we tapping out today?”
Ryver raises up from the floor by Millie. “Hell nah, let’s go, girls.”
“Lead the way,” Emerson says, “and drag my ass with you.”
I can’t help it, I laugh like a loon. “You need to pace yourself. We have three more days.”
“Shut it, Frodo Hoebaggins.” Millie smashes her fingers together in an attempt to silence me.
I giggle more, sipping my coffee. “Would this be a good time to mention there’s coffee?”
They begin to sit up, staggering over to fill their cups of instant life. An hour later, we’re back in business. After finding a place for brunch, we plan our day. Pool laying, drinking, and shopping is on the list.
Until I see my tattooed god.
“You should talk to him,” Millie mumbles in my ear.
I shake my head, shifting in my seat to get a better look at him. Again, he’s with a woman, but this time, it’s a redhead. “He’s such a douche. He’s with a different woman every time I see him.”
“Who is?” Emerson spins in her seat, but the tatted wonder is gone.
“The guy from the pool yesterday.” Millie lifts her brows, as they all focus on me, smiling.
“Nope. Not going to happen, he’s a player. Been there, done that, and I tossed the t-shirt.” I pick up my coffee, turning toward the door.
Willow puts her arm over my shoulder. “The day is young, and so are you. It’s never too late to get your freak on!” Laughter and cheering can be heard all over the lobby, as we walk to the pool.
Same club, same time, different woman. My Hooch Hottie is back and on the prowl. This time, it’s a brunette hanging from his arm as he checks out the other women around him.
“I suppose it’s a game of cat and mouse.”
“It would be if you were playing.” Millie’s snarky as hell.
I curl my lip at her. “Attitude much?”
“I’m surrounded by beautiful women, and they all like men.” She takes my drink from me.
“So find a woman who likes to crunch and munch.”
She wrinkles her nose at me. “My shit don’t crunch when you munch.”
“Oops, sorry.”
She narrows her eyes at me, then follows my line of sight. “Go talk to him.”
“Millie, he’s arrogant. He’s a user. He obviously has women waiting in line. He thinks he’s a gift from the gods. Without a doubt, he’s a manipulator.” I tip my glass up. “He’s Carter, but only better looking.”
