“Do you want a real wedding?”

Stepping into my space, Harlow drags a finger up my chest, staring into my eyes. “I feel bad because you spent our entire lives wanting to marry me, and then we didn’t even have a real wedding.”

I shake my head, drawing him into me for a quick kiss. “No. I don’t need a real wedding unless you do. I wanted to marry you, Harlow, and I did. And I get to keep you. The wedding is…” I wave a hand through the air. “It’s whatever to me.”

He hesitates, searching my face. “As long as you’re sure.”

“You really wanna do all that shit again?” I ask, raising an eyebrow at him.

Shrugging, he smiles. “Sure, if I got to do all that shit with you.” His smile falls, and he shivers. “But you’re walking to me. I’m not going first.”

I cup his chin, tilting his head back so I can look at him. “Yeah, but I’d never leave you standing there.”

His eyes fall shut, and he leans into my touch, making my heart skip. I can’t believe this is real. I can’t believe Harlow is mine. Today. Tomorrow. Forever.

“I love you,” he whispers.

I kiss him again. I can’t seem to stop. It’s almost like I’m trying to make up for lost time. “And I love you. Are you ready?”

He nods. “Are you?”

“I am.”

Stepping back, I let my hand fall as Harlow opens his eyes.

“Do you think it was stupid of me to invite Josh and Andy?” he asks.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about it initially, but he and Harlow do seem to be doing okay as friends, and he’s part of the reason Harlow realized his feelings for me, so I can’t really fault the guy.

After our mind-blowing sex and even better nap the day Harlow got home from talking to him, he told me everything they had talked about. For some reason, I kinda feel bad for the guy. Not only did he miss out on Harlow, but it seems like he’s got some shit he needs to work out.

“I think it was stupid of you to not tell our parents he’s coming. Your mom, especially.”

Harlow waves me off. “She’ll live.”

But will Josh? That’s the real question. “I guess you’re right. Are you ready, baby?”

His blue eyes sparkle as he stares at me. “Sure am. Let’s go celebrate, husband.”

“What in the fuck is he doing here?” Annette practically spits, and I whip my head around to the door.

Called it.

Annette glares daggers at Josh as he walks in. He looks nervous as hell, and a few seconds later, Andy walks in behind him.

Harlow would choose this exact moment to need to go pee.

Sighing, I glance at Annette. “Harlow invited them.”

“Why?” she asks, glaring some more.

Aliyah laughs. “They buried the hatchet, and they’re friends now.”

Well, that was the wrong thing to say. “Friends?” Annette says, venom in her voice, as she starts walking toward him.

Not a single person tries to stop her, so I rush to catch up, stepping in front of her. “Let me handle it.”

Turning to me with a grin, she pats my cheek. “This is my son, Gray. Surely you know that.”
