“Tripp, I’m so close,” she said, her voice husky with desire.

“Me too, baby, come with me.” For all the dirty talk and alpha he busted out earlier, this wasn’t a command. It was a plea. He wanted the same thing she did. To tumble over the edge together, in each other's arms.

His words were all she needed, though, to push her over that cliff. She exploded from the inside, her climax reaching from the tips of her toes to the very edge of her hair. Throwing her head back, she let out a wail, arching into Dalton’s tightening embrace.

“Fuuuck,” he growled, his own orgasm hitting him hard.

Still holding on to each other, they remained connected for a long moment, just enjoying the feel of one another. Their skin was slick with sweat, but moving wasn’t a priority. What mattered right now was holding on to this moment and the love they felt.

When their breathing finally calmed, and their heart rates slowed to something closer to normal, Dalton inched back from their embrace, looking longingly into her eyes. All the emotion from earlier was still there in those amazing blue eyes, and it made her insides melt all over again. As he pulled back a little more, she let out an involuntary yawn.

“Did I tire you out, baby?” he asked with a knowing smirk on his face.

“At least I made it more than thirty minutes into a movie,” she offered as a response, not wanting to own up to the exhaustion that suddenly hit her.

“Had I known that sex was all it took, I would have proposed that as a solution long ago.” Zara laughed at his response, knowing that he was only half joking. “Let me tuck you in.”

She nodded in reply, finally peeling themselves all the way off each other. She climbed back up to the head of the bed and slid underneath the covers, settling herself into the plush mattress and pillows. Returning back to the bed from disposing of the condom, Dalton snuggled up behind her, putting her into the little spoon position. His body was warm and hard against hers and was exactly the comfort she desired right now.

“I love you,” she whispered, her eyes growing heavy, not sure if her words were loud enough to be heard.

“I love you too,” he whispered back. "I never stopped loving you, Zara, and I never will.”
