Chapter Two
Caleb clappeda hand on his best friend’s shoulder, feeling the sigh the man let out as he watched his bride make her way down the aisle. For as much as he thought that Kathleen was a bit of a spoiled princess, there was no doubt in his mind that Mark loved her, and at the end of the day, that was what mattered. He was more than honored to stand beside him on his special day.
Now, if he could just stop thinking about the copper-haired beauty currently standing behind the last row of chairs.
The first time he’d seen Sienna Sloan, she had knocked him off his feet. Tall, lean, with curves in all the right places and cornsilk hair that had ribbons of pinks and yellows weaved through it. It had been the hair color that had caught his eye first, but the moment she turned around and nailed him with that smile, he’d been done for.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” she’d said, taking a half step back after turning around at the bar and bumping into him.
“Don’t be,” he’d responded, his insides doing somersaults. “I believe I was in your way.”
Sienna giggled, her eyes shining with amusement, making Caleb feel more than just a little proud that he’d been the one to do it. It had been a long day full of lectures at the annual conference for the Southeastern ENT Medical Association, and that smile was exactly what he needed to rejuvenate himself. Now, if he could just get this beauty to stay here and talk to him so that he didn’t end up having to talk to the head of the board.
“I’d ask if I could buy you a drink, but it seems you already have one,” he commented, trying to sound a lot more suave than he was feeling.
“You could keep me company while I drink it then.”
“It’d be my honor.”
The conversation had flowed easily from there. He may have only just met this girl, but talking to her was like talking to an old friend. In fact, Caleb was pretty sure he could listen to Sienna talk about graphic design for forever. Which was saying something, since the topic of graphic design had never once come up in his entire life.
“A master’s from SCAD? That’s a pretty big deal,” he’d commented as she’d let that slip.
“Not as big of a deal as being a doctor,” she’d countered. “What’s your specialty?”
“Pediatric reconstruction. I do a lot of work with Operation Smile.”
“I don’t know what that is.” She flashed him her own bright smile, and Caleb was pretty sure his insides had ignited. Just where had this woman come from?
“It’s a nonprofit that works to help provide medical care to repair cleft lips and palates in children and young adults around the world free of charge.”
“So, you’re a saint?”
Caleb laughed. “Not even close. I work for a decent-sized practice, run by my father, and we do our fair share of cosmetic work. I just prefer toothy kiddo smiles to boob jobs.”
“You don’t like boobs?” she said, mock horror in her voice. “You could have told me I was barking up the wrong tree.”
Caleb could see the glint in her eye, and he knew it was more than just her still half-full glass of wine talking. He grinned back at her, sure that the playfulness on his face matched hers.
“Oh, I like boobs. I like boobs a lot. I just prefer ones I didn’t create, so to speak.” He leaned in to her, inhaling her sweet cherry blossom scent, placing his mouth right up against her ear. Her soft, brightly colored hair tickled his nose, but that didn’t stop him. If anything, it was spurring him on. “In fact, I’d be more than happy to take a look at yours. You know, as a doctor.”
“Are you willing to…examine…all of me? You know, as a doctor,” she whispered back.
All the blood instantly rushed straight to Caleb’s groin, and it took every ounce of control he had not to take her right then and there, up against the bar. Instead, he slipped his arm around her, hauling her into him, until he could feel her softness against him. The heat radiating off of her body felt like a warm summer day, the kind that made you want to forget your responsibilities and just sit back in sunshine. Kind of like how he wanted to forget everything right now and simply worship this beautiful woman who was pressed up against him.
“I’ll give you the most thorough examination you’ve ever had.”
“Then what are we waiting for?”
Without another word, Caleb took Sienna’s glass of wine from her hand, gently placing it on the bar. He gave her a sly wink, just before grabbing her hand and leading her out of the hotel bar. The ride up to his room was a blur of hot, wet kisses and hands everywhere. Sienna felt so fucking good up against him, and he couldn’t wait to see just how good she was going to feel under him and wrapped around him.
By the time they reached the door, it was all he could do to fumble for his keycard. Pressing Sienna against the door, his hands slid down her back, finding her ass and giving it a squeeze, before he lifted her up, pressing her back against the door and her core against his now raging-hard dick. She moaned into his kiss, swiveling her hips, making his dick ache to feel her without all these clothes in the way. He heard someone comment something about getting a room from behind him in the hall, but he didn’t care. Not with this beauty in his arms.
When he finally got the door open, he rushed inside, still gripping her ass for dear life as he made his way to the bed. The heavy door slammed shut behind them as he loosened his grip, letting her slowly slide down his body. She gave him a playful wink, wasting no time in reaching for the zipper on the back of her dress, letting it fall to the floor. Following her lead, Caleb undressed in record time, drinking in the sight of the naked beauty in front of him.
“I’ve been wondering just what was under this stuffy suit of yours,” she purred, running her hands through the dark hair on his pecs. Her touch was like putting a match to gasoline, fueling the fire in him even more. “But this is even better than I could have imagined.”
“You’re pretty perfect yourself,” he growled. “And there are so many things I want to do to you…”
