“So, that’s what it’s supposed to be like…”
I chuckle. Yes, Sawyer, that is what it’s supposed to be like…
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Well then…”
Well then is right. To the point where I’m not sure there is any coming back from that. One more reason not to date—because even though sex is few and far between, it’s also meaningless. So, an orgasm is just an orgasm, not an earth-shattering experience that has you questioning whether or not you can change around your home office layout to accommodate someone else. Much less whether or not there is enough closet space.
“See, nothing to be afraid of.”
Sawyer rolls off of me, and I groan, missing the feel of her instantly.
“I told you, it’s not that I was scared scared, just that…I’ve never enjoyed it. Wanted to, but…past experiences left me believing it was all hype. You proved otherwise.”
“You were definitely afraid of letting me taste you,” I remind her.
“Okay, that…” She sighs, turning onto her side to face me. Dragging her finger in between my pecs, she’s quiet for a moment. “Yeah, that was scary. It’s a weirdly intimate thing, and…it freaked me out. I’ve never trusted someone enough to let them try.”
“Thank you for trusting me.” My heart squeezes, and I hope she knows how much I mean it. How much she means. “You embraced reciprocation much quicker than I anticipated.”
“That’s different,” she dismisses.
I shift, looking her directly in the eye, making sure she hears and understands every bit of what I’m about to say. “Not at all, beautiful. Not. At. All.”
“Oh.”
She blushes again, resting her head on my chest. I hold her there, in no rush to move or do anything other than stay right as we are.
“I know you said that you have to call Alex at some point…” she says a while later, still slowly, aimlessly, running her finger along my chest. The light touch tickles my skin, but I don’t dare tell her to stop. “But after you do that, do you think…”
“What?”
“We could do it again?”
Fuck, yes…
