When he lifted his head, our eyes met.
The vision of him, covered in sweat and cherishing my body multiplied my feelings for him.
Sam’s free hand moved to my other breast, massaging the flesh and twisting the tip between his fingers.
He leaned over me, one arm hooked around my neck to kiss me.
“I’m done punishing you for keeping me at arm’s length,” he said, breathless, against my skin. “I’m done marking you. Now I wanna make love to you.”
Sliding out of me, he kept his weight on his arms as he looked into my eyes. And my soul.
The glints in his eyes brightened the room.
Panting, we eye-fucked each other.
“I love you,” I whispered, hoping he could read the honesty in my words.
My heart did a three-hundred-sixty-degree rotation in my chest when he replied, “I love you.”
“Show me.”
“I’ll show you for the rest of our lives,” he said.
Sam’s arms wound around my body, and we combusted together. There was no more urgency. Just two people, devoted to each other, coming together. Fusing together.
My mouth devoured his. His tongue flicked around mine. I caressed the side of his face, wanting to immerse myself in his love until my heart only belonged to him.
Forever.
While we lost ourselves in an earth-shattering kiss, Sam removed the elastic band in my hair, the wavy strands diffusing around my face.
Leaning back, he admired me, twinkles in his eyes. “You’re beautiful.”
His mouth returned to mine. My lips teased his, molding them as I savored their taste.
My fingertips traced the length of his arm. The side of his ribcage.
He skimmed the dip of my waist. The bone of my hip.
Hoisting my good leg around his middle and clamping my thigh, Sam entered me, neither of us in a hurry for this moment to end.
We kissed, our hands insatiable in their mission to touch each other everywhere.
With my right leg still propped around him, Sam plunged into me balls-deep, at a slow, riveting pace.
He combed a strand of hair away from my forehead, and I got mesmerized by his gaze. By the depth of his soul.
And I knew. Right there. That Sam Stevens didn’t appear in my life by mistake. We were destined to meet. To fall together.
His mouth descended to my neck, nibbling and licking my salty flesh.
My hand curled around his biceps. Keeping him as close to me as possible.
We rocked in sync, about to go over the edge, to reach a new high together.
Our movements hastened. They became more urgent. Less delicate.
When I went rigid in his embrace, my back arcing, and my moans intensifying, Sam leaned back to revere me. Then he pounded into me with no more restraint.
