through hooded eyes as he did. But he didn’t release his hold and neither did Sean.
“I want to taste you again.” Sean blinked repeatedly. “Did I just way that out loud?”
Avi gave him a soft smile. “You did. And I promise you’ll get your chance later.”
Sean’s eyes widened. “Later?”
“Only if you want.”
Sean frantically nodded. “I want.”
“Good.”
Avi scraped his teeth along Sean’s neck, licking his skin then nibbling on his earlobe. Sean
gasped.
“Oh, that was…” He wasn’t sure what it was, but he hoped there would be a repeat.
Lots and lots of repeats.
Sadly, Avi stopped chewing on him.
“I’ve been needing to get some flying in, and I know you came out here for a swim. Should we
enjoy this wonderful sunshine together?”
“I’d love that!”
Sean shrunk in on himself. He had to remember to be more mature, to show Avi he truly was
ready to be mated and have a family.
“Hey.” Avi tipped Sean’s chin up with one finger. “Always be yourself. I don’t want you trying
to change your behavior for me. I lo—” He cleared his throat. “Want you just as you are. Okay?”
“I’ll try to remember that.”
The corners of Avi’s mouth quirked in a smile. “I’ll keep reminding you every day how perfect
you are, how’s that?”
Sean’s face heated as he chuckled. “I’m not perfect.”
Avi placed another soft kiss on his lips. “You are to me.”
Oh.
After winking then letting Sean go, Avi began unbuttoning the robin’s egg blue shirt he wore.
Frozen where he stood, Sean couldn’t tear his gaze away as Avi removed the garment—first one side
then the other sliding off the Alpha’s strong, tanned shoulders. When Avi faced him to hang his shirt
on a tree limb, he found himself staring at Avi’s muscular chest that was decorated with a smattering
of salt and pepper curls.
