“Because I love you.” I pushed all the way in and held still to keep myself composed as much to give him a moment to adjust to my intrusion.

“Kacen!” He slid his hand under his body and grabbed his dick. “I love you too. Now fuck me.”

We moved together in an alternating slow-then-fast pace. His hips rose to meet mine and then dropped away as I pulled out. We quickly established a rhythm that edged me but allowed Ted to get the full effect of intercourse.

I kept my hands braced beside his head then shifted us both up and back so he was on his knees, and I had access to his raging cock. The second my hand wrapped around him, I began working him in time with every thrust.

It didn’t take long before he was shaking underneath me. “Yes, Kace. Faster.”

I did as I was told and fucked him until he was shooting ribbons of cream through my fingers. Considering it was his first time, he came harder than I’d ever seen anyone come in my life. And that pushed me over the edge a few seconds later. My whole body shuddered with the force of an amazing orgasm and then collapsed on top of Ted. “Wow.”

“Yeah, wow.” He curled into me and latched on to my chest, his favorite way to relax and recoup.

I held him close while we caught our breath. Brushing a clump of damp hair off his forehead, I admired how gorgeous he was. “I meant it, Ted. I love you.”

He smiled around my skin and then pulled off. “Me too. I love you.”

From that point forward, we spent all our free time together. Some nights he came to my place, and when I was done with work in the afternoons, I’d usually watch TV with him in the workshop. Neither of us could keep our hands to ourselves, so Ted made a conscious effort to make up for all those years of celibacy.

He also stopped flinching at sudden sounds or movements that erupted around the house. He said it was because he felt safe with me, and I believed that was true to an extent, but it was also true that he’d gained some confidence when he took the chance on trusting me. A confidence that I did my best to nurture every day.

Working at home was nice, but that meant I spent more time on the phone, and I hated talking on the phone. One day, I was on the phone with a colleague while Ted was making dinner in the kitchen.

“Yeah, I’ll send you the revised specs by Friday.” I paced the length of the kitchen with my attention split between the call and Ted as he moved around the kitchen. “No, I’m not coming back into the office for that. I’m permanently remote now. And my boyfriend has dinner going, so I need to wrap this up for today.”

I didn’t think anything about what I’d said until I hung up and saw Ted frozen at the counter, staring at me like he was afraid to ruin the moment. “What?”

“Boyfriend?” Ted’s voice was soft and controlled, testing the word around a smile. “I’m your boyfriend?”

“Yeah.” I crossed the kitchen and pulled him into my arms. “Is that okay?”

“I have a boyfriend?” He nodded and whispered to himself like he needed to hear it audibly before he believed it was true. “I have a boyfriend!”

“You do.” I kissed the corner of his mouth. “And I do too.” I nipped at his lower lip and grinned. “And my boyfriend is way hotter than yours.”

EPILOGUE

TED

The delivery truck backed down the gravel road with wide-load flags snapping in the breeze. I stood in the yard with Kacen and watched six weeks of waiting finally roll onto the lot.

It was gorgeous.

As far as manufactured homes went, the model Kacen had decided on had to be the top of the line. There were marble counters, wood floors, and a full kitchen. It was impressive.

I had to admit that when Kacen first told me my trailer had to be scrapped, I was low-key devastated. I loved that little trailer.

But since I didn’t have to physically move off the property, I figured I’d be fine with anything.

The crew dropped it onto the new concrete pad and then spent some time getting it completely level before they hooked up the utilities. And then a few hours later, they were gone, and I was left with a nicer home than any I’d ever lived in before.

And my heart sank.

Kacen gave me the grand tour once the crew cleared out, gushing over the deep kitchen sink and the walk-in shower. It was fancy, I’d give it that. But I wasn’t fancy, and I didn’t care about bells and whistles. It didn’t feel like home to me, and just being in there made me uneasy.

“You’re awfully quiet.” Kacen reached for my hand and kissed it. “Is everything okay?”

“It’s really nice.” I forced a smile and looked around my new home as something heavy settled in my chest.
