Getting her dish-washing spell going, Amelie wandered back over to where the redhead was sitting and did her best to distract the other woman from her spiral.

“You saw me immediately post sex earlier today,” Amelie started. “The least you can do is help me prep some ingredients.”

Surprised by Amelie’s bold statement, Hestia turned her head away from the window, eyes wide as she looked at the kitchen witch. Though, to her credit, she was only stunned for a moment before the warm, flirtatious light filled her eyes again.

“Oh, is that so?” Hestia laughed.

“I think it’s only fair.” Amelie stood up again, offering a hand to Hestia. Hestia, like Delia, was shorter than her, but not by much, so instead of looking too far down to be able to look her in the eyes, she was more or less able to meet her gaze directly.

“I mean, I had some other ideas about how to make it up to you, but this works too.” Hestia teased, following Amelie back over to the counter.

“Oh, you did, did you?” Amelie grinned, happy that flirting had been the correct move to pull Hestia back to the present. If flirting with a beautiful woman who was clearly interested in her was something she could do to help the situation they’d all found themselves in, then that was just a sacrifice she was willing to make.

Setting Hestia up with a chopping board and knife, Amelie washed potatoes and carrots, before placing them in front of the redhead. As Hestia got to work, Amelie started on the meat that would go into the pie and scrounged up a ceramic pie dish. One of her comfort foods that she’d been taught how to make from a young age was Shepherd’s Pie, and given the amount of stress floating around the cathedral right now, Amelie figured that they could all use a little comfort.

“I’m going to check the pantry for some spices, you doing alright?” Amelie called as she made her way across the kitchen.

“Yep! Almost done.” Amelie was grateful to hear that Hestia’s voice had returned mostly back to normal. So with a little more pep in her step, Amelie made her way over to the sliding wood door next to the fridge. When she opened it, she couldn’t help but pause for a moment in awe despite everything that was going on. Knowing this was her kitchen, made from her hearth, was one thing, but seeing everything she could possibly need organized in a way that made her giddy was something completely different.

Making her way into the walk-in, Amelie pulled some spices down from the rack to look at them more closely. Distracted by the myriad of ingredients, Amelie didn’t notice the other witch’s presence until the door to the pantry slid shut.

“Sorry.” Hestia started in her sing-songy voice. “I think I forgot to get the salt out like you asked.”

Making her way over to where Amelie was standing, Hestia paused behind the blonde witch and peered over her shoulder.

“Would it be here, maybe?”

Amelie gasped as she felt Hestia’s body press up against hers from behind. Feeling her heart start to pound in her chest, Amelie tried to measure her breathing; after all, she didn’t know if Hestia was doing this intentionally or not.

“Do you see it?” Amelie got out through gritted teeth.

“Hmmm.” Hestia hummed in response before snaking her hands around Amelie’s waist. “I don’t… but now that I am thinking about it… I think that I already set it out on the counter earlier.”

Amelie’s breath hitched as the redhead’s lips found their way to the shell of her ear.

“Maybe I just wanted to get you in here for a minute and shoot my shot. Since the world might be ending and all.”

Amelie bit her lip, feeling her legs begin to get a little weak underneath her. Slowly, Amelie turned in Hestia’s grasp, reveling in the way her hands felt on her waist as she turned. By the time she fully faced the Illusion Witch, any attempt that she might have made to still her heartbeat had long gone out the window.

Hestia’s eyes were like molten fire, tempting and playful as she let her gaze rake over the blonde’s form. Leaning forward slightly, Hestia’s lips gently brushed Amelie’s as she teased the touch without fully committing, but instead pulling back just a little.

“I…” Amelie stuttered, feeling Hestia’s breath on her lips. “Are you going to kiss me?”

“Do you want me to?” Hestia replied, a smile playing at her lips.

Amelie knew that now was probably not the best time to be fucking around in the pantry, but holy shit was she wet. Since turning around, the only thing that she could think of were those two short nails on the middle and ring finger of Hestia’s hand.

As her resolve began to crack, Hestia leaned in even closer until their noses were touching and her lips were only a breath away.

“I really do,” Amelie murmured as she let her hands settle on the redhead’s hips.

She felt Hestia’s smile before she saw it. “Good girl,” Hestia replied, pressing their lips together.

Amelie let herself fall into Hestia’s touch as she kissed the Illusion Witch, the satin fabric of her dress caressing her skin where it was exposed. Gently but with purpose, Hestia played with the clasp at the back of Amelie’s dress, nails nipping at her skin as she got it undone. Then with skilled confidence, Hestia removed her dress without pausing for even a moment in their kiss.

The air of the pantry hit Amelie’s skin, but she was only left to feel overly exposed for a single moment as the next second the fabric underneath her own fingers slipped away to the floor. Gasping into the kiss, Amelie let her hands wander down from Hestia’s waist to her hips. She was impossibly soft; her dress hadn’t done the best job at hiding her curves, but feeling them under her own touch was something else entirely.

Hestia pulled them even closer together, pressing their bodies flush. The pressure on Amelie’s hips pulled a whine from her throat as she rubbed her thighs together slightly.
