Ace was a dangerous man. He pulled back and peered into my eyes. “You bout to make a nigga cum, baby.”

The way he said baby, made my pussy tighten, and my eyes fluttered closed as he moaned one last time and released into the condom.

"That was good," He whispered into my ear before sliding out and disappearing into the bathroom. I lay there on the bed in the same position trying not to close my eyes and drift off to sleep. When he returned, he was wearing basketball shorts and he had a small towel in his hand. He wiped between my legs gently cleaning me up before bending down and kissing me again.

He threw the towel in the corner and reached for the room service menu off my nightstand. “Are you hungry?” I asked.

“Yeah. Shit you ate all my food earlier plus I just worked up an appetite.”

I giggled, “yeah my bad."

"Umhmm. I know you ate my shit on purpose earlier too."

I chuckled. I wanted to call him a lie like he'd been doing me but he was right. Ace shook his head and sat beside me to look at the menu. A few minutes later we ordered wings, loaded fries, and two slices of cheesecake. After Ace hung up, he reached for the remote. I watched him flip through the channels before asking, “so what did Kel say?”

“I thought you didn’t care.”

“I don’t. I’m just nosy.”

“At least you honest.”

“Duh. Now what happened?”

Ace settled against the headboard. “He started talking about loyalty and how you were his woman for four years.”

“Was being the important word.”

“That’s what I told him.”

I studied his face. “What else did you say?”

“That whatever we’re doing ain’t got shit to do with him.”

“That’s it?” His jaw shifted. “Ace.”

“I told him I cared about you.”

My stomach flipped. “You did?”

“Yeah.”

“Why?”

“Because I do.” He said it like it was obvious. “This is supposed to be fake,” I reminded him.

“For you maybe. But I can't fake like I don't fuck with you.”

“What does that mean?”

“It means I fuck with you Kema and I wanna see where this could go.”

I was shocked. I couldn't even respond to him because Ace was clearly serious. I had so many questions. So many thoughts were going through my head right now. I swallowed, "Ace, how long have you felt like that?”

“You always wanna know how long a nigga wanted you. Kema if I say I wanted you for years then what? I wanted you from the first time I met you. I also knew Kel ain't deserve you.”

I stared at him. I wondered if he told Kel that. How was I supposed to feel? Did I want Ace? Could we even be something? How did I miss the signs.. “You never said anything.”

“You seemed to love that nigga... So I respected that.”
