Jesus. The man was too fucking sexy.
I turned from Callum and kissed Maddox. Heat fanned over my skin as his deeply masculine scent wrapped around me, just like his arms as he pulled me onto his lap. Our lips melded together as I straddled him, groaning under my breath as I felt the swell of his cock through the material of his pants.
“No fair, Captain,” Callum said before sitting up and hooking an arm around my waist. He kissed the top of my shoulder blade before grazing his teeth along my skin, sending excited tingles all throughout my system. He took hold of my jaw and forced me from Maddox’s lips to kiss his instead.
“Have you forgotten your place, Lieutenant?” Maddox grumbled. “You’re rarely so bold.”
Callum smiled against my mouth before kissing me again, this one deeper. His tongue teased the edge of my lips before working its way inside and swirling with mine.
“Gross,” a raspy, sleep-heavy voice came from the window bench. Rowan cracked open one eye, his arm was raised and draped over the other. “If the rabbit takes off his clothes, I’m jumping out of the window.”
“Get to jumping then, snake,” Callum mumbled against my lips, smoothing his hand down the curve of my spine. “With any luck, the storm will blow you far away.”
“Be nice,” I chided both of them.
“I’m always nice.” Rowan flashed a smile, revealing my favorite fang-like tooth.
“Liars don’t get buttery biscuits for breakfast.”
“I reckon it’s a good thing I’d rather take a bite out of you,” he countered without missing a beat. These men were too smooth for their own good. “But the rabbit needs to stop gettin’ his stench on you.”
Oreo stirred from sleep and arched his back in a stretch, his furry butt jutting into the air as he gave a big, puppy yawn. He then growled at Rowan.
“What’s with the attitude, you beast?” Rowan ruffled Oreo’s ears. “So mean to me even after I scratched your chubby little belly as you fell asleep.”
The Fenrir pup huffed at him before jumping down from the window bench and going over to curl up in the armchair near the hearth instead.
“Well fine then,” Rowan huffed.
I laughed.
That’s when I felt the air stir from behind me, bringing the scent of peaches. Lake pressed his face into the back of my hair as Callum continued kissing me. Maddox sat up higher and lowered his mouth to my chest, kissing the scars left over from Stryder’s fire attack.
“About time you woke up, Specs,” Rowan said. “Welcome to the world of the living.”
My gaze trailed to Briar who had, as Rowan pointed out, just woken up. How he’d slept through the crashing thunder and movement on the bed was impressive. He must’ve been exhausted. Because of me, probably. He’d worried himself sick all day when I’d been passed out after the elixir.
“What is the hour?” Briar retrieved his glasses from the bedside table and sat cross-legged on the bed, his light brown hair lying messy and tousled from sleep.
“Muffin devouring o’clock,” I said, sandwiched between Maddox and Lake, with Callum pressed to my side.
Briar smiled as he took in the sight of us. “Seems I awoke just in time then.”
My mouth went dry as he crawled over to us, wearing an unbuttoned white shirt that fell open down his smooth chest. No pants, just fitted underwear that emphasized the nice bulge front and center. The sight of his bare thighs definitely got my blood pumping, going from hot to blistering.
“Hey, Doc?” I feigned discomfort, being overly dramatic with an underlying playfulness. “I think I’m coming down with something. You should come over here and give me a thorough examination.”
“Oh?” Briar adjusted his glasses, concern replacing the last remnants of sleepiness from his hazel eyes. “When did you start to feel ill, love? An aftereffect of the elixir, perhaps. Where does it hurt?”
“All over.” I pouted at him and slumped against Maddox. “I’m aching something fierce, Doc. I need you to administer one of your special tonics.”
His concern deepened. “I have no tonics on me, so I’ll need to—”
“Oh, it hurts.” I slapped my hand to my forehead and closed my eyes… then cracked one lid open.
Briar gaped at me before exchanging a look with Maddox, who coughed to cover a laugh. My captain had clearly caught on to what I was doing.
“Briar,” I whined, wiggling in my playful frustration. “I need one of your special tonics or I’ll cease to exist.”
