It’s only thefirst fucking date.

***

An hour later, aftercoffee and a couple of fancy mints, they left the restaurant.Damian wasn’t sure whether any after-dinner activity was planned, but he wouldn’t’ve refused. Jory was as sexy as fuck, and Damianwanted to intimately discover more of his body, and those lusciouslips.

Damian waved vaguely inone direction. “I’m going home on the tube, how about you? Are wegoing to be train mates?”

Jory groaned and shookhis head, as he blew smoke rings. “I gave my driver the night off,but I try to avoid the tube. Every time I get on, I’m accosted bypeople who recognise me, and then subsequently badgered. I’d ratherget an Uber home. Tube travel becomes a bit of anissue.”

There was an awkwardsilence as Damian wondered whether now was the time to offer Jory achance to come home with him. He took a deep breath, butterfliesfluttering in his belly. But Jory spoke first. “Unless you fancycoming back to my place for a nightcap?”

Damian’s belly fluttered.“Oh, damn, it sounds…” His voice trailed off, then he smiled, andreplied huskily, “Like a really good idea.”

Jory looked pleased as hetook out his phone. “Uber it is then. Give me a sec to rattle upour carriage.” He mock bowed.

“Oh, what? I’mCinderella and you’re the handsome prince?” Damianteased.

Jory snorted as hecompleted his transaction. “If you like the idea.” He popped hisphone in his pocket. “Honestly, they made things so easy nowadays, rustling up a lift within a matter of minutes, evenseconds.”

He chuckled and theystood together in companionable silence until Damian broke thesilence. “You don’t live alone, do you? Will I meet yourroommate?”

Instantly Jory’s goodmood seemed to deflate. “I hope not,” he muttered. “I think he wasat some stupid opera thing tonight, so hopefully he won’t be homewhen we get there.”

“Don’t you geton with him?” Damian asked, his brow creasing. “Is he a bit of adick?”

Jory laughed shortly.“Understatement. He’s a true-blue twat and we only stay togetherout of…” He hesitated. “I’d not call it a necessity, more one ofconvenience.” He flicked his cigarette butt into a nearbybin.

“Oh.” Damiandidn’t quite understand the situation, but figured it was Jory’sbusiness. “Well, let’s hope he’s not around then.” He leaned in andbrushed a languid finger down Jory’s cheek. “I have plans for youwhen we get home. I haven’t kissed anyone today and I’m feelingdeprived.” His pulse rate shot up and his groin warmed at thethought of Jory’s mouth on his.

Their ride pulled up andfor the fifteen minutes’ drive back—it might only be six miles awaybut London traffic was predictably jam-packed—Damian sat inanticipatory excitement tonight he might get laid.

When they reached thebuilding where Jory lived, both men bundled out of the car andlooked at each other. “Come on,” Jory murmured and motioned towardsthe entrance. “Let me show you my humble abode.” He led Damianacross the plush lobby, waving at the door attendant on hisway.

“Hey, Keith, how are you?” He didn’t wait for Keith to reply, and moved quicklyto the lift. He stabbed the button a few times and Damian chuckledbehind him.

“It isn’tgoing to come any faster if you do that.” Damian regarded him withamusement. “And no jokes about coming please. I couldn’t bearit.”

The elevator doors openedand they stepped inside to the sound of cheesy music. Jory scowledas the doors closed. “I had a chat with the building owner a fewweeks ago about changing the music on the trip to the other floors.I suggested some sort of chill-out music rather than the disgustingclassical dross they seem to play.” He pouted and Damian found itadorable. “They haven’t taken up my suggestion yet. I might have tohijack their sound booth thingy with some music from StoneEdge.”

He input a code Damianassumed would take them to the top floor. Damian grinned when thedoors closed. “I never thought I’d be in a lift with a bona fiderock star who’s taking me home for some…” he paused, then smirked,“adventure.”

Jory’s blue eyesdarkened. “To put it mildly.”

Damian’s cock stiffenedand he leaned back against the mirrors—why does a damn lift alwayshave to have mirrors—and opened his legs to show Jory exactly whathe was packing. Jory’s gaze grew hungry and Damian shook his headteasingly.

“I bet theseposh lifts are full of security cameras,” he murmured,” or I’d behaving my way with you right now.”

Jory chuckled huskily.“Pity. I bet we could have fun with all these mirrors, watchingeach other, seeing ourselves from every angle.” He mock shivered.“I think I might have a bit of a fetish about it.” He ran histongue over his dry lips. “Something to write in my journal forfuture ideas.”

Damian cocked an eyebrow.“You keep a journal. How cool. A wonderful way of rememberingthings.”

The lift doors opened andJory walked out, straight into the private foyer of theflat.

Damian eyed the place inwonder. “God, this place is incredible.” His gaze travelled overthe elegant cream and grey furniture, admiring the wonderfulartwork displayed on the walls. A piece by an artist called RichardWallace caught his eye. In the warmth of subtle lighting, it stoodout starkly: an image of two male angels entwined in shades of blueand bronze.

However, appreciation ofthe décor apparently wasn’t what Jory had in mind. He tugged Damianout of the foyer into the lounge. “Fancy a drink?” Jory didn’t waitfor Damian to answer, and ambled over to the bar and opened thedoors. He took out a bottle of champagne. “Hmm,” he muttered, “Idon’t know whether this is one of Roger’s ‘don’t touch on pain ofdeath’ bottles or not.” He shrugged. “I don’t care. This Armand deBrignac Ace of Spades will do fine.”

Damian strolled aroundthe apartment in awe. Whoever Roger was to Jory, he’d certainlydone a damn good job of making it stylish and liveable.
