Ducking under branches, I go off course and run deeper into the forest. Howls swirl around me and the wind starts to pick up. Branches snap behind me indicating that they’re near. I can’t outrun them; they’re demons, for crying out loud.

Tears stream down my face and my breathing begins to labor as I fight for my life to get away. My limbs are screaming at me in pain but I can’t stop. I can’t make this easy for them.

A little cottage comes into view and I run straight for it. I take a glance over my shoulder and there’s no black mist, no handsome, distracting fucking things behind me. I make it to the front and race up the wooden steps, grasping the handle and pushing the door open. Shutting it behind me, I look around trying to find a place to hide.

The smell of dust and mildew invades my senses. Wood floors screech under my feet and there’s a brick fireplace on the left and wooden chairs with torn cushions sitting on them. An old table is on the other side and a small kitchen. I make my way to the back and find three doors. I open each one leading to a bathroom and two rooms. Dusty footprints trail from where I step so I make sure I step in each room towards the different areas so it throws them off.

In one of the rooms, I find a small closet and a panel slightly open. I pull it open to reveal a hiding spot that someone must have made to hide goods or themselves. It’s big enough for me to slip into and I pull my cloak in, making sure nothing is hanging out. Once I’m fully in, knees pressed against my chest, I put the panel back into place.

The wind becomes a tyrant and bangs against the house. My chest heaves up and down and a sob escapes my lips. I’m never going to be able to see my aunt again. I’m never going to be able to live a life ravishingly or become the witch my aunt is. I’m going to be buried six feet under like my grandmother with my soul in Hell.

The door creaks open and the air changes to an ice-cold chill. I cover my mouth with my hand to stifle my cry. Heavy, slow footsteps pound against the old floors, hunting for their prize. It’s calculated, taunting, waiting to see if I’ll try to come out of hiding and make my way out of the cottage.

I recite the protection spell again in my head, pleading that it’ll work for me. Please, please do not fail me this time. Please, whoever is watching over, save me.

Footsteps grow nearer until they enter the room that I’m in. I can hear rummaging around and they come to a stop in front of the closet. I can hear his breath and I dare to look through the crack of the panels to see Cayson peek inside.

He clenches his chiseled jaw as his eyes roam the insides of the closet. He breathes deeply as if he’s trying to track my scent. Rolling his neck, he steps out of the closet, slowly walking back and forth, pacing in frustration. A growl escapes from his lips before he exits the room.

A part of me finds the thrill in this cat-and-mouse chase. I want to feel them in my hands, taste them on my lips but the rational part of me thinks I’m a total idiot. Again, this pull towards them is becoming unbearable. Every fiber in me knows that I belong to them and this is my destiny. Why not give in and let these three delicious demons take me. At least they’re hot.

Stop it, Brooklyn. This is a trick they play to feast and destroy you. I try to tell myself over and over again. I’m smarter than this. I have an aunt who’s worried sick at home. I can’t let her down. I need to get out of here.

The house is silent and not even a pin drop can be heard. I shift which causes me to scrape against the wall and my foot slips hitting against the frame. A little thud echoes through the house, making me hold my breath. Fuck! They have to be gone. There’s no way they heard that. Maybe I can slip out of here or maybe I should just stay here until the sun comes up. The latter option is probably the smartest thing I can do since apparently my body is a traitorous little bitch.

Suddenly, the panels to my hiding spot rips open causing a scream to leave from my lips. A head pops in with the most sadistic grin spread across it.

“There you are, Little Witch,” Cayson purrs as he reaches in to grab my arm.

He yanks me out of the little hole in the wall, causing me to hit my head. I fling my arms up erratically, shoving and clawing out of his hold. I slip through his grasp but quickly he grips my ankle and drags me through the closet.

My hands catch the frame and I grab on, kicking my legs out, hitting him in the gut. He grunts but yanks me, causing my nails to scratch the wood, leaving claw marks.

“Please, no! Let me go, you evil bastard!” I curse at him, getting pissed now.

“I love the way you fight, please don’t stop. You make this all the more enjoyable.” He gives up on dragging me and picks me up, throwing me over his shoulder.

I sink my nails into his back, drawing black-looking blood through his shirt. Any type of resistance I make doesn’t seem to get me out of his hold. He moves down the hallway and puts me down on top of the table next to the kitchen.

I’m frozen in place as Cayson stands in front of me and Kallen and Bryden join him at his side. My eyes roam each and every one of them, taking in how tall and muscular they are. How flawless and breathtaking they present themselves as. They’re the typical men in normal life you would gawk at but also know to stay away from as they have either baggage or are extremely dangerous.

At this moment, I’m going to die anyway, so I decided to enjoy the view. My mouth waters with this sudden feeling of wanting them. God, I’m so fucked up. Images of them between my legs, ravishing my breasts, feeling me with their hands clouds my imagination. I immediately clench my legs. I can’t fight this intoxicating feeling my body longs for.

“You feel that? Your body knows who it belongs to. It’s dying to feel our touch. You were promised to us and we plan to collect that promise.” Cayson steps into me as he runs his hands up my legs.

Oh shit, his hands feel so good and I can feel my heat pool under my panties. I was promised to them? I don’t understand? It has to be the curse that was placed upon my family.

“Your body reacts so beautifully to my brother. I can smell your arousal. Your mind can’t fight us any longer, and you know it. Give in to us. Let us ravish you.” Kallen moves to the other side of me, coming closer, making it hard to breathe.

His hands trace my arms and slowly travel down to my hip and slide under my nightgown. His touch is so gentle but also so needy as he travels up my stomach and cups my breast.

“Oh, god!” I moan out, blinded by their hypnotizing touch.

“There’s no god here. He would never worship you like we do.” Bryden fills in the empty spot on the other side, boxing me in. He reaches and unties my cape, letting it fall loosely on the table.

His hands wrap around my throat, as he leans down licking my throat. A spark ignites and I don’t want them to stop. He nips at my neck before he sucks my skin into his mouth. His tongue swirls, teasing me as he tilts my head to the side.

Cayson’s hand travels up my thigh and rubs my clit from above the fabric. My hips buck forward wanting more. His movements are rough but longing as he’s trying to hold back but has the need to touch me. I want him to touch me.
