“I know.” Ethan’s head lolled to the side. “I was attempting to lighten the mood.”
Giving in to temptation, I skimmed one finger up Ethan’s thigh. I stopped at the edge of soaked cotton, raising a brow at him. “What if I didn’t want to lighten it?”
He sucked in a breath as his pupils dilated. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, maybe I can prove to you that there’s no one I find hotter than you.” I grinned lazily, trying not to show how fast my heart was racing. “And I can definitely do it in more interesting places than a bed.”
Chapter 18
Ethan
Oh.
Fucking.
Fuck.
“No pressure, of course.” Rami continued grinning as if he hadn’t just delivered the hottest offer of my life. “But I think I could show you a good time. Fuck knows you deserve it after what Dave has put you through.”
Somehow, I didn’t think he was just referring to today. Rami hadn’t held back a single one of his opinions where my now-ex was concerned. About the ways he had, or rather hadn’t, been there for me.
I bit my lip, the lust sharpening at how Rami’s gaze was drawn to the movement. Could I go there? I wanted to. Fuck, how I wanted to.
You just broke up with Dave.
Technically, yes. But I was starting to realise that the relationship had been over for a while. All Dave had done today was pull the trigger on a gun we’d loaded a long time ago.
“I’m not sure,” I said reluctantly. “It’s not that I’m not attracted to you, obviously…but I don’t think I’m ready to jump into anything serious.”
“I know.” Rami’s fingers flirted with the cotton of my boxers. The head of my cock was barely a breath away. If he moved even an inch, he’d be touching me. “But I’m not offering that. I’m offering you sex—no strings attached.”
My face flamed as mortification hit me. Of course he wasn’t. What the fuck had I been thinking? Rami was a model, one in great demand. Even if he weren’t, his personality and charm alone would have any gay man falling at his feet.
Why would he settle for me? Dave certainly hadn’t, and Rami wasn’t just in a different league, he was playing an entirely different sport.
“No, of c-course,” I stammered. “I knew that.”
Rami’s eyes widened. “Oh no, fuck. Ethan, I’ve messed up. Let me try again, please?”
He looked so agitated that I found myself nodding.
Rami moved until he was kneeling on the floor of the hot tub. He was so tall that his head towered over the surface of the water. He nudged his way between my thighs, his hands encircling my hips. My erection pressed against his abs, but I ignored that in favour of the full lips now inches from mine.
“Ethan.” He said my name like it was a prayer. An oath. “If I thought a relationship was what you wanted, I’d be at the front of the queue. Hell, I’d probably spirit you away so no one else could even find the queue.”
I smiled softly, my hands finding their way to his shoulders of their own accord. “Didn’t you technically do that already?”
His answering smile had my heart beating faster. “Kinda. But I’m serious, I’d love nothing more than to call you mine, Ethan.”
My thumbs drifted over his collarbones in circular motions. “You barely know me.”
“I know enough,” he said, his eyes never leaving mine. “Enough to know that’s what I want, but also enough to know you don’t. And that’s okay, Ethan. Seriously. I’m happy with whatever you want us to be. If that’s just friends, then great. If it’s friends with benefits, even better.”
“But what are you getting out of it?”
“Other than spending time with you? Hopefully lots of orgasms.”
His thumbs skated along the edge of the fabric again. So close to where I need him, yet so far away. “Lots of orgasms? Now there’s a challenge. Don’t think I’ve ever come more than once in a night before.”
