According to Slate, Reeve, Milo, and Mouse have been cooped up in Ghost's room all day, dealing with club business.

Unfortunately for me, the prospects have been here all day, and without Luxe to ward them off, I've been running around the clubhouse in an attempt to avoid them and their flirtatious comments.

Munch and Dodger were here earlier, but they always keep to themselves, only bothering me when they need a drink or some snacks.

Slate's been out back working on Cruz's bike, and up until half an hour ago, Cruz was glued to the leather bench of one of the booths, grumbling at his phone.

Although everyone's been busy, I've kept myself entertained by cleaning every inch of the clubhouse while listening to my music on the speakers.

Slate's the only one left in the bar now, everyone else having either ridden home or gone to bed, considering it's late in the evening.

Wiping down the bar, I sigh as I glance out the window.

"Do you have any idea where he is?" I ask, dragging the rag across the wooden surface.

Slate cocks a brow.

"Reeve?"

I nod, and he shakes his head.

"I know he left a couple of hours ago with Milo and Mouse, but I didn't speak to them. I'm sure Prez would know if you wanted to go ask."

My shoulders droop.

"No, it's okay. If it's club business, I doubt Callux would tell me anything anyway."

He shrugs, tipping his head back as he guzzles the rest of his beer.

As he places it on the bar, the sound of motorcycle engines reverberates through the room. Slate glances over his shoulder toward the doors, then turns back to me.

"I think that's your man pulling up now," he says, standing from his stool with a smile. "Catch you later, Trixie."

Rolling my eyes at the stupid nickname they all seem to use now, I put the cloth down and walk out from behind the bar as the revving grows louder.

Crossing the room, I peek out of the window, watching as Reeve, Milo and Mouse cruise up the road, rolling their bikes over to the shelter.

Not wanting to be caught looking at them, I rush away and reach over the bar for the damp cloth again. Quickly hopping over to one of the tables, the double doors open and all three men walk inside.

Slowly moving my gaze from my hands, I peer up at them.

Milo dips his head in acknowledgement, then heads for the stairs, meanwhile, Mouse stands there staring at me, a tortured look marring his face.

His eyes meet mine for a split second before darting away.

My stomach twists, and a sharp pain shoots across my chest as I watch him walk away.

He's been avoiding me for what feels like forever, and I hate it.

I enjoyed his company here, and I cherished the friendship we were building, but now, it feels like all of that has disappeared, and I have no idea why.

My eyes move to Reeve, who's already watching me, lips pressed into a thin line, and brows drawn down.

Leaving the cloth on the table, I slowly walk toward him, eyes flicking back and forth between his.

"Are you okay?"

He exhales, jaw rippling beneath his dark, neatly trimmed beard.
