“If I don’t teach you respect, you’ll never respect me. Go in the garage before you get sick.”
“No!” My chest heaved as I stared at him. The rain soaked his shirt. His chiseled frame could be seen poking underneath.
“Solei . . .”
“I said no!” I closed the gap between us.
No matter what he did, I wanted to hate this man. I wanted him to be a monster and give me a reason to not like him, but the more time I spent around him, I slowly fell for him. He knew exactly what he was doing when he gave me that sixty-day deadline. He knew I wouldn’t be able to resist him.
Water droplets covered his glasses. My eyes zoomed in on the water resting on his lips. Fuck. I couldn’t take it anymore. Gripping him by the back of the neck, I brought his lips to mine. They were so soft, like some pillows. Our tongues intertwined together.
“Mmm.” A moan escaped my lips.
Thunder roared in the distance, causing me to jump. I released Savion’s lips, breathless. He gawked at me. I was supposed to be angry with him for leaving me in the middle of the street, and here I was, ready to fuck him right here in the driveway. Without uttering another word, I scampered back into the garage and headed for my bedroom.
Soon as I got inside, I shut the door behind me and stripped out of my wet clothes. I wrapped myself in a towel and grabbed my phone and then went into the closet for some privacy. Going to Imani’s name, I pressed the phone icon and took a seat on the floor while it rang in my ear. Soon as she picked up, I said, “I think I’m falling for Savion.”
All I could think about was that kiss between Solei and me. I could tell that her body was yearning for me. The way she ran off had me worried about her. I thought about going in there to check on her, to make sure that she was alright.
Since she caught me in the rain, I came in and took a hot shower. My dick was rock hard after we kissed, so I had to rub that shit out while I was in there. It was dinner time, and Solei hadn’t made it to the table. She started eating with me, but I think now she was dodging me because she didn’t want to admit that she was actually falling for me. Shit didn’t even take sixty days either.
The chair scraped across the floor as I pushed back from the table and grabbed my plate. When I entered the kitchen, I saw Solei standing in there with a glass of water in her hand, with a facial mask covering her face.
“How come you didn’t come to dinner?”
Her eyes followed me to the sink.
“I wasn’t hungry,” was her response.
I placed the plate in the sink and turned to her. Solei backed into the island.
“What are you running for?”
“I’m not running,” she replied, which was a lie. She couldn’t move because she was pinned between me and the island.
“You scared?”
“Scared of what?”
“Of what you feel.”
Her breathing labored. “You got food in your beard.” Turning, she slid the cup onto the counter. “Come here.” Taking me by the hand, she led me out the kitchen and into her bedroom. We didn’t stop ’til we entered the bathroom. “Sit down.” She nodded toward the tub, and I sat on the edge of it.
I observed her as she looked through the cabinets to find whatever she was searching for. “When’s the last time you had a facial?”
“When I got my hair cut.”
“I mean a real facial. I don’t think they be knowing what they be doing for real,” she replied and turned around with all sorts of shit in her hands. She set the stuff down on the side of the tub where I sat. The first thing she did was apply a cleanser to my face and then used a brush to scrub it.
I gazed up at her, and she was all focused on what she was doing, standing there in one of my T-shirts that I’d left in her bedroom before I moved all her stuff inside it. I’d been using that room for storage before she came. I guess she took it upon herself to go through a couple of boxes that were left in the closet.
My hands firmly gripped her waist, and her body stiffened. She looked down at me before continuing to clean my face. Once she was done, she moved down to my beard, gently massaging the shampoo into it. I’d never had a woman do something like this for me before.
Normally, all women wanted was to know what I could do for them. How much money I made. When I was gon’ be spending said money on them. Ma hated every woman I’d ever dealt with. She wasn’t too fond of Solei when I first brought her home, but she was warming up to her. I think the reason being was that she was Bishop’s daughter.
Solei stepped back to admire her work. A small, satisfied smile rested on her lips. As she looked at me, her eyes softened, turning heavy with a familiar, simmering heat. She couldn’t hide it any longer if she wanted to. I didn’t let her move another inch. I reached out, and my hands gripped her waist and pulled her firmly between my knees.
The thin cotton of the shirt bunched up under my palms, and I could feel the warmth of her skin radiating through the fabric. I looked up at her, my gaze traveling from her flushed cheeks down to where the shirt rode up, revealing her stomach and the top of her thighs.
