Next, she grabs a bunch of bananas. I stand off to the side of the produce, holding my small grocery basket just glaring.
Cucumbers. Seriously. She’s feeling up the damn cucumbers. She has to be fucking with me.
Her eyes glance up, locking on mine. They widen, her mouth rounds into an ‘o’ and I’m pretty sure she squeaks. The cucumber goes back on the pile, and she turns away from me.
Good. Be scared of me little girl. I would tear you apart.
Mine.
I grab the few pieces of produce I need, then head over to the other side of the store where they have the liquor.
I make it as far as the pharmacy section before I see her again. She catches sight of me and backs into a display.
I’m at her side in a second, pulling her away from the falling boxes of—lube? X-ite: for his and her pleasure. Yep, that’s definitely lube.
Fuck my life.
This close to her, I get the full effect of her scent. She smells like the sweetest and richest honey. I inhale deeply. Mine. Mine. Mine. She’s clinging to my waist, her full tits smashed to my chest. Nothing has ever felt more right than her in my arms.
So, I stand her up and take a step away from her.
“You hurt?” I ask her.
She shakes her head.
By now there are a couple of store clerks that have found us and the mess.
“Mr. Guardian,” the store manager addresses me. “Is everything okay?”
I don’t even bother looking away from Aspen. I just answer him.
“Display fell. Might want to better secure them so no one gets hurt.”
“Yes, yes, of course.” He instructs the clerks to clean up the mess.
I walk close to her, saying quietly just for her, “You should be more careful and watch where you’re going.” Then I walk off.
Only, she follows me.
“Excuse me, if you weren’t so busy growling and glaring at me, maybe I would have been able to see where I was going. You’re a big bully and I don’t like you at all. Despite the fact that you’re extremely attractive.” She winces. “Son of a fish.”
Did she say…
“Ignore that last part,” she says.
Oh hell. I’m smiling at her. Well, as much as I actually smile. But I do not think she’s cute.
Mine.
Shut up, I tell my bear.
“You have no reason to dislike me so much. You don’t even know me.”
“Does it matter if I like you or not?” I narrow my eyes at her. “You one of those people who has to be the center of everyone’s attention?”
She frowns. “No, of course not. I don’t even care if you like me.”
I cross my arms over my chest, my grocery basket, dangling from my forearm. “Kinda seems like you do care.”
