I nod. “Always. I’ve always been yours, Flynn.”

“You asked me, the other day, how you could thank me for always being your hero?”

“I did.”

“I have an answer for you,” he says.

“Anything,” I tell him. “I’ll do anything for you.”

“Be my wife forever. Have my babies. Grow old with me.”

“Yes!” I kiss him and he holds me against his chest. “Does that mean you’ll let me call you Piglet’s daddy?”

He leans away from me and gives me a funny look.

“I saw your expression at the festival when I said it. You didn’t look too happy,” I say.

“I wasn’t unhappy. It turned me on. The thought of being a daddy with you. Then I thought of getting you pregnant, having a baby with you. I was just aroused at all of those thoughts.”

That makes me laugh. “So you do want kids?”

“I want anything and everything, as long as you’re the one by my side.”

“Right now, I want you to take me back inside and make love to me again,” I say.

“You don’t have to ask me twice.”

“I love you, Flynn,” I say. “In case it wasn’t obvious already.”

“So I guess this is what stupid in love looks like,” he says.

“Yeah. I guess so.”

Flynn

A few months later…

“Angel? Where are you?” I call when I step into our cabin. It’s not like there are many places for her to be; it’s a small place. We’re currently building our dream home out on some land not too far from Great Dane’s. But in the meantime, it’s just me and my girl and our son, as Temple so often likes to refer to Piglet.

I pretend it bothers me sometimes just because it usually leads to Temple doing dirty things to me.

“Temple?” I call again.

That’s when I hear the shower running. I step inside the bathroom to find my wife singing a Jess Munoz song. Piglet is curled up on Temple’s discarded clothes on the bathroom floor.

“Angel.”

She squeals. “You scared me.” She pokes a wet head out of the side of the shower curtain to shoot me a glare.

“Need any help washing anything?” I ask.

She rolls her eyes. “No, I’m almost done.”

“Have we had any deliveries yet today?”

“I don’t think so. At least nothing before I got in here. Why? You expecting something?”
