He was just a human, there was no way he could be sure about that, but still I believed him, and I reached for his hand, threading my fingers through his and holding on as Kessrin continued to be efficient with the cock cage, barely touching me as he unfastened my old cage and laid it gently in the box, then began arranging the new one, starting with the waistband. This one was quite secure and comfortable, held on by a strap that wrapped around my waist and another between my legs, with five adjustable leather straps that surrounded my shaft completely, preventing me from getting hard.
Kessrin took his sweet time fastening each strap and testing it for comfort, to the point where I was pretty sure he was enjoying my torture.
I liked that about him.
CHAPTER 14: CONNOR
I was toweling my hair as I walked out of the lodging house’s shared bathroom, loose and warm from a long, hot bath, and straight into Sky, who was standing there, waiting for me. A week in, I still couldn’t believe this place had running water.
“There you are. Come into our apartment. I need to know what’s going on with your boys.” He grabbed my hand and yanked. Sky was much smaller than me, but somehow moved with a force that left me with no choice but to follow.
Moerrven looked up and nodded in greeting as we walked in, then began moving stacks of books off of the chairs in the corner of the room before seating himself on a small sofa.
Once we were safely ensconced in his room, Sky pulled me into a huge hug. “I still can’t believe you’re here, on this adventure with me!”
I stepped back and took a seat in one of the chairs.
He sighed, eyes looking a little teary. “I love Moerrven, and it’s been an incredible adventure, but it’s a little scary, being here with no way back. I keep worrying about Ma worrying, you know? Especially since you noticed way sooner than I thought you would.”
“We live together. How would I not notice your disappearance?”
“I know.” Sky plopped down onto the small sofa, curling slightly into Moerrven’s heat. “I figured you’d think I was hooking up with a guy from the club or something. It was dumb. But what if I’m being dumb about Ma, too. Like what if I think I have weeks to sort this out and she already noticed and is freaking out.”
“The only thing we can do is move forward. Worrying won’t solve this problem.”
“I know. That’s why I’ve been trying so hard to find a portal. Something that runs both ways so I can get back to Moerrven, of course.”
“Do you miss home?” I asked.
“Only the family.” Sky picked at a thread on the sofa cushion. “I started doing tai chi again. It makes me feel closer to Grandpa. And to Ma.”
“You quit after the funeral.”
“I know. It turns out I missed it.”
“So,” I said, glancing towards Moerrven, who had a book open and was politely pretending not to listen. “I can’t believe you’re as good as married.”
“Oh, once you get to know Moerrven, you’ll believe it,” Sky said, glowing. “He’s an amazing author, too. Maybe he’ll write a story about your adventure with two sexy dragon shifters.”
“He will not,” Moerrven said. “That seems… awkward to write about your husband’s brother. Especially since you… ahem. You know. To my books.”
Sky burst out laughing. “You may have a point, babe. Though these would be fictional characters, with details changed to protect the innocent. And the dynamic is quite spicy.”
“It’s not. It’s merely business,” I said.
The door creaked open right as I said that. Oallian’s head pushed through the gap, curls first. “Are you finished yet? I ask because I remain available to service you, should you happen to require servicing. It would be no trouble. I am very rested.”
“Go back to our room.”
“Of course.” The head withdrew two inches, then returned. “Would you like me to list some options in detail, though?”
“Oallian.”
“Going.” The door shut, gently.
“Strictly business,” Sky sing-songed. “That’s believable.”
Moerrven snorted. “Did you see Lord Frost? I’ve never seen him so animated as he was at lunch.”
