“Agreed,” Connor said. “Our pet should never wander too far without his leash or his cage. Keeping your mind where it’s meant to be means keeping your body under our control, and we are both very prepared to do that.”
“Oh,” Oallian whispered, eyes widening. “Forever? Isn’t that quite tedious?”
Connor reached across me and palmed Oallian’s cock, and Oallian groaned. “I don’t see anything tedious about playing with our gorgeous pet’s body, do you, Kess?”
I blushed and shook my head. “Of course not. The only thing tedious in this room is that wastebasket.”
Connor burst out laughing and pulled us both in close, kissing each of us, one at a time, and telling us again how much he loved his dragons. It seemed ridiculous that a simple human without any magic to speak of could own two such powerful creatures, but Connor’s big heart, his easy laughter, and his positively filthy mind were things we couldn’t find anywhere else.
CHAPTER 28: OALLIAN
There were scones at breakfast, and nobody to stop me from eating them all.
Kessrin had been summoned by the Queen at an hour I considered uncivilized. He had kissed us both goodbye and gone off down the corridor walking a little carefully, which I was proud of, because we’d fucked him awake to make sure he was prepared to face a long day of discussing tariffs without us.
That left me and Connor, alone in Kessrin’s room with nine scones. Seven scones. I was sitting naked on the end of the bed with the plate in my lap, looking out at my hoard. Most of it was still on the balcony. There was a candelabra out there with nine arms on it, and a set of plates that nobody had ever eaten from, and a great deal of loose coin.
Connor was washing up, and his eyes landed on the scones and his eyebrows shot up. He said nothing as he helped himself to one.
“I have murdered men for less,” I said.
He just laughed. “You’re making crumbs on the bed. Kess is going to flip.”
“What Kess doesn’t know won’t hurt him.” I bit into my fourth scone and moaned. “Being a dragon consumes quite a lot of energy, you know. As does sex.”
I was wondering if I wanted more scones or more sex when somebody knocked on the door.
“More scones?” I asked.
Connor opened it. There was a footman in the corridor holding a long flat box in both hands, and he looked into the room, and then he looked at a spot above the doorframe and kept his eyes there with tremendous discipline, because I had not put anything on. Connor took the box, said something courteous, and shut the door.
“What is it?” I asked, with my mouth full.
“Put the scone down and stand up.”
I stood up. Obeying him was becoming an automatic reflex by now, and I was here for it.
He set the box on the desk in front of me and opened it with both hands, slowly, and folded the paper back.
It was the new cage. Supple leather, oiled dark, a waistband and a strap for between my legs and a system of buckles that would hold my cock in a way that looked completely secure. There was a second one underneath it in a lighter hide, and a third that looked like it was mostly rings.
“Oh,” I said. “A variety.”
“You broke the one we bought in Liminia. I thought it best to be prepared, or you’ll end up in your makeshift cage from the basket.”
“I like my makeshift cage, too,” I said. “I have very fond memories of that basket.”
“I know you do. Come closer.”
I stepped closer, surrounded in the scent of his favorite bath soap, and smiled. He lifted the first cage and turned it over in his hands. Then set it back in the box, which I thought was cruel.
“Don’t you want to put it on me?” I asked.
“I wanted to punish you yesterday,” Connor said. “But Kess needed us. He’s in heat, and he was hurting, and it couldn’t wait. You were perfect for him. You did everything I asked, and you made him feel like the most wanted man alive.”
“I did, rather.”
“That does not mean that you come second.”
