I look at him. "I told you, I dont fucking know."

Zach is staring at me with the most infuriating grin I've ever seen on another human being's face.

"...What?"

"You like her."

"No, I don't."

"Yes, you do."

"She's not even my type."

"Obviously." He rolls his eyes, clearly enjoying himself now.

"I swear I don't. She's—" I search for something, anything, that makes his conclusion as ridiculous as it should be. "She's too much. She's impulsive. Reckless. She gets on my fucking nerves constantly. We're complete opposites."

"Uh-huh."

"What?"

"Nothing." His grin widens. "Just listening to you build a very convincing case here."

"Fuck off."

Zach laughs. "You want me to tell you what I think?"

"Not particularly."

"I think you're attracted to her."

I open my mouth to argue, but nothing comes out.

Because that part, at least, I can't deny.

Not anymore.

I've noticed Taylor physically from the beginning. I'd have to be fucking blind not to. But attraction was easy enough to dismiss when I couldn't stand being around her.

Except somewhere along the way, that changed.

And apparently I've been too stubborn to admit how much.

"Fuck," I mutter.

Zach laughs again. "There it is."

"That doesn't mean I like her."

"But it's the only explanation I can think of for why seeing her with Manning pissed you off that much."

I frown. "What explanation?"

He gives me a look like the answer should be obvious.

"You were jealous, man."

I stare at him.
