Fuck.
We didn’t go back yesterday, it’s still sitting in my office.
I throw on some clothes, take the stairs two at a time, and grab the keys to my Ferrari.
Take the lift down, and sprint through the parking lot. I dive behind the wheel and scream out of the parking lot.
The tires screech as I take the corners, I dial her number again. “Pick up baby, pick up.”
The number you have called is currently unavailable.
“Fuck it,” I scream, the car nearly goes up onto two wheels as I take a corner with speed. “Where the fuck are you, Anna?”
My knuckles are white as I grip the steering wheel.
Who took her?
Ring, ring…ring, ring….
I dive to answer it. “Do you have her?” Giuliano cries. “Tell me you have her.”
“No. I do not fucking have her,” I scream.
“My God.”
“Find her.” I hang up, too stressed to speak.
I drive like a maniac, and if a policeman tries to stop me.
I’ll shoot the fucker dead.
I pull up out the front of the Ferrara building and drive straight up onto the pavement. Brrrrr. The bottom of my black Ferrari scrapes in disapproval as I take the curb at speed.
Park right beside the front of the doors, I run inside and scan my card. Sprint to the elevator and push the button with force. “Come on. Come on.”
The doors slowly open, I dive in and press the close button.
“Hurry up.” I dial her number again.
The number you have called is currently unavailable.
“Please. Please. I beg of you.” I pray out loud. “Please, please let me find her. Please let her be safe.”
The elevator doors slowly open and I run, straight for my office. I flick the lights on and tip my briefcase upside down onto my desk, my work phone comes into view and I swipe it on.
Battery 40%
Fuck!
I go onto the app and my heart thumps against my chest as I wait. “Come on.”
A green dot lights up.
I can see it moving and an arrow points in the direction….
Oh my God.
“Thank you.”
