“Are they in their office?”

“Yes.” She smiles over enthusiastically. “Just down the hall.”

“This way.” Francesca guides me, as soon as we get out of earshot of the girls: “Are you absolutely insane letting him have all these hot-as-fuck women in the office?” I whisper.

She giggles as she gives a shrug. “They’re actually really nice and you know what, if he’s going to do it, he’s going to do it anywhere.”

“Yes, but you don’t have to put him in the gift shop.”

She’s obviously a lot more stable in her relationship than I’m in mine, oh wait I don’t have a relationship.

“Giuliano’s office is to the end, this is Val’s office here, go in and surprise him.”

“You’re not coming in with me?”

“No. I’m going to go and visit my husband,” she whispers. “Go and do whatever it is that you’re doing in that hot outfit.”

“Well, after I’ve seen what he looks at all day every day, it doesn’t seem that hot now, does it?”

“They pale in comparison to you, my love. Go,” she mouths before walking into Giuliano’s office and closing the door behind her.

I can’t just walk into his office unannounced, I have to knock. Tap, tap.

“Come in,” his deep voice calls.

My heart thumps at the sound of his voice, I timidly open the door.

Valentino is sitting behind his large desk and on the phone, his eyes lift to meet mine before they drop down my body and then back up to my face, he lifts his hand and waves me in. I walk in and close the door behind me.

“Hi,” he mouths.

“Hi,” I mouth back.
