“I should probably let you go.” I shrug. “I just called in with Francesca to say hi, I don’t want to interrupt you.”

“I’m nearly finished for the day, if you want to wait I’ll come with you.”

“Okay.”

“We will have to swing past my place on the way home to collect some of my things if that’s alright?”

“How long do you plan on staying with me?” I take a seat on the couch in his office.

He begins to pack up his desk. “As long as I have to.”

My eyes search his, have to…. “Are you going to tell me what’s going on?”

“We’ll. . ” he shuts down his computer, “Talk about it over dinner, hey.”

Tap, tap sounds on the door just as it opens. “So I’ve been running that report on the….” Romeo walks into the room and stops in his tracks when he notices me.

“Anna?” He smiles all sarcastically as his eyes flick to Valentino. “Fancy finding you in this office on that couch.”

“What do you want?” Val snaps.

“That’s no way to greet me,” he teases. “How are you, Anna?” he asks all swoony like.

“Great thanks, how are you, Romeo?” I smile, this man is trouble with a capital T.

“All the better for seeing you.” He winks.

“Yeah, yeah. Get out,” Val snaps impatiently.

Romeo chuckles. “You two kids have a great night.” He winks at Val.

Huh, what the hell does that mean?

Have they been talking about me or do they just sound like everything is sexual every time they talk?

“It’s just another night,” Valentino mutters dryly.

He leaves us alone and Valentino continues to pack up his briefcase. “Pay no attention to him, the man is an idiot.”

“Why did he think us two kids would have a great night?” I ask.

“No idea, he thinks everyone should have a great night every night. Romeo lives in party land.”

“Sounds fun.”

“No doubt.” He picks up his keys. “Let’s go.”

We walk out into the corridor. “I just want to say goodbye to Francesca and Giuliano.”

Valentino glances up at the wall. “Probably not a good time.”

“What do you mean?”

“The do not disturb light is on above his door.”

I look over to see a line of little lights. One of them is red.

“What does that mean?” I frown.
