“You’re staring at your wife.”
“She’s hot.”
She rolls her eyes. “She’s covered in applesauce.”
“Still hot.”
“And hasn’t washed her hair in three days.”
“Don’t care.”
“And one of your children wiped something questionable on my shirt.”
I glance at it. “Probably yogurt.”
“Probably?”
I pull her closer. “Take it off.”
Her eyes narrow. “There he is.”
“Who?”
“The reason we have triplets.”
I grin. She tries to stand but I don’t let her. “Caleb.”
“Emily.”
“We have three children upstairs.”
“Door has a lock.”
Her cheeks turn pink.
Still.
After five years.
I fucking love that.
“You’re impossible.”
“You married me.”
“You proposed in front of the entire town. I was under pressure.”
“Could’ve said no.”
“You would’ve followed me home.”
“Yep.”
“And kept asking.”
“No.”
She smiles. “No?”
