I wanted to use his hole until he was dripping with my cum, nothing more than a whore for me to fuck.
The moment I’d driven far enough away, I grabbed my cock through my jeans, giving it a good squeeze. If this was what Polunin wanted, this would be what he got.
Chapter 6
Madden
When I arrived back in the office, River stood next to my desk in what I affectionately thought of as his giving a subordinate hell stance. The overall authoritative look he sported consisted of shoving one hand into a pocket of his black suit pants and tilting his head down to glare at me over his glasses as if I was the dimmest bulb he’d ever seen. West had his headphones in, but I didn’t know if he’d popped them in when he saw River assume the position, or if he’d already been zoned out working on something. The sneaky bastard was probably eavesdropping. I would be.
“Hey!” I said, trying not to sound too worked up, but my words came out in a rush and much higher than I’d meant them to. My semi was still firm enough in my pants that I was aware of my shaft swinging with every step I took. I probably wouldn’t get called out for popping that little bit of wood, but my stomach was already tingling, and my balls already had about a thousand gallons of cum in them—I was sure of it. Part of me wanted to claim some sort of plague to leave the office this second, go to Officer Slater’s lovely abode, but I knew better. I’d never get away with that crap. My predicament was especially clear when River sighed.
“What the fuck was that?” River didn’t clarify what he meant, and he didn’t need to. We both knew he was talking about Slater. We needed to get this out of the way before the Kings came upstairs, or River had to leave to meet them somewhere. He didn’t often sound seriously angry. Usually he was pleasantly irate with me. An honest to God bout of nerves racked my gut. Would River fire me?
“Uh….” I sucked in my belly and slid between him and the desk, so he had to step back and let me through when my ass brushed his hip. I plonked down in my chair and then unlocked the desk drawer to get out my laptop. Casually I set the computer on my desk, preparing to pretend I didn’t see River at all. Nothing to see here.
“Madden.”
“Nothing,” I said quickly.
“Yeah, I’ve had nothing like that too, but if your motherfucking nothing turns into a problem for us—” He poked a finger right on the top of my noggin where it really stung. I pouted up at him. “— your employment will be terminated.”
Upset for real, I spun to face him, and my stomach sank at the vicious glare he hit me with. “Seriously?”
“Yes. We can’t—” He leaned back on his heels and rolled his shoulders, as if it occurred to him that he’d been hunching too close to me to chew me out. “Keep a lid on this ticking time bomb.”
“How do you know he wasn’t simply returning the wallet I lost, huh, oh great wise one? You know I wasn’t myself last night.” I went for one of my winning smiles, but for once, River was unswayed.
Well, maybe my charms worked a little, because he snorted, and some of the direness melted out of his expression. His eyebrows went back where they belonged, anyway.
“Not yourself? Mild analysis of that shitshow.” He leaned closer again. “Slater looked like he wanted to fuck you right there in the lobby. For my second point, last night you smelled like a rancid seaside tavern with a cum dumpster out back—all salt and fuck juice. That was in my car for twenty minutes. I put the windows down and it still smelled like an orgy in there when I got home. Third point.” He stood tall and crossed his arms. “You smiled at him.”
“I smile at everyone!” I’m not sure why that got me, but genuine insult had me sliding my chair back so I could stand up to fight properly. “Name one person who I don’t smile at. I dare you. I’m cheerful.”
“You don’t smile like that at the mailman, that’s all I’m saying.”
West leaned back in his chair and met my eye around River. Oh, darn it. Why did he have to get involved? He popped out an earbud. “What did he do now?”
“Maddie here”— River waved a hand at me—“fucked yesterday’s arresting officer last night.”
West picked up a pen from his desk and tossed it at me, but I caught the missile before it could pelt my arm. “Could be useful,” he drawled.
“I—I have work to do.” I slapped the pen down on my desk and hit the power button on my laptop while still standing, in case River wanted to be an asshole some more. I felt better standing to argue.
West and River both stared at me.
“What?”
River settled a heavy hand on my shoulder. “You’re the only person in the world who could go out, have a drunk quest for the holy fuck, need to be scooped up by a friend, and actually be more productive than usual the next day. Are you sure you’re okay? You never start working without at least twenty minutes of bullshit first.”
Embarrassment had my cheeks warm, and my spine snapped straight. “I have a lot of energy. If I get it out, I do better.”
West snickered from across the room. River let me go and grinned. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Assholes.”
River disappeared into his office, chuckling, and I got to work on a case for the Kings of Men. It wasn’t anything crazy or life-altering. Aaron Arthur, who was indeed the King, from what I understood and had… experienced, wanted a building permit for Black Out. He wanted to add another level to the building, and the city was giving him the runaround. It was my job to figure out why city hall and the zoning committee were being a bunch of pricks, run around them, and make this happen for Mr. Arthur. Sighing, I again looked at the rejection letter he’d received, but I felt like I might have to go be a nuisance to someone at the mayor’s office to make this happen.
I emailed my analysis of the situation to River, and was clicking on another file on my computer when the door to his office opened. He leaned out to look at me.
