Thatrandomguy: I’m not the biggest, but big enough. And DM gives off a tone. I bet you can make me laugh or cry with your words.

Me: Is that a challenge?

Thatrandomguy: Are you up for it?

Me: If you do the same, then yes, I’m in.

Thatrandomguy: I’m in.

Me: You’re all that, random guy. Thanks a million for doing this. You’re a good guy.

Thatrandomguy: Don’t peg me as a hero POTRG. I’m more of a villain when it comes to women.

Me: Wow, admitting that takes guts, introspection and self-awareness. Your EI is up there, TRG.

TRG: EI???

Me: Emotional intelligence. Look it up.

TRG: Just did. Excuse my language but I have shit for EI. Otherwise, my GF wouldn’t have broken up with me had I been more aware of my feelings.

Me: Aw, I’m sorry TRG. Fresh off the breakup?

TRG: Fresh enough.

I see what he means about DM giving off tone. This guy is giving off the vibe that he doesn’t want to talk about his ex.

Me: Three reasons why you could be my hero.

TRG: I’m not one.

Me: But if you could. Cue Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero.”

TRG: Who the hell is BT?

Me: Search her.

TRG: Just did. Watching the video. Catchy. Okay, let’s see, you want strong, fast, larger-than-life. Yeah, I can be your hero. Just not IRL.

Me: You’re a Debbie downer. Check that attitude at the front of the DM door.

TRG: Good point. Thanks for setting me straight.

TRG: I like that you call me out. Ask for what you want too.

TRG: I can be your hero by listening and being there for you. Ping me, and you’ll have my undivided attention.

Me: That’s two reasons. What’s the third?

TRG: Any favor you need from me within reason, I’ll do. Just ask.

Me: We can’t meet IRL remember?

TRG: We won’t have to break the rules. I have guys who owe me favors. They’ll do your favor for me.
