I laugh. His hand gently trails the scar on my thigh from the accident. I’d tried to hide it, but he’d kissed it, saying, “Don’t ever hide yourself from me.”

“I was just chuckling at how we’ve been cooped up in here, having sex. Your statement that you have a big appetite should come with a label.”

He tickles me and I laugh.

“What would be on the label?” he asks as I giggle.

“Twenty doggy style, ten missionary, uncountable fingering, fifteen happy baby, ten cowgirl or reverse cowgirl, ten lap dance, standing O, on the shelf, and more with guaranteed orgasm.” I wink and he bursts into laughter.

“We should fulfill the list on the label, Jola. I’m going to need you to reverse cowgirl now.”

“Ice is coming down in a few minutes,” I remind him.

“I can text him not to come,” he says.

“No, Bruce. You know he’ll be lonely.”

“He’s been hanging out with Smith, he’s not lonely. So back to the reverse cowgirl that you owe me.” His hand goes under my dress, moving to my panties, and we hear the door. I knock his hand away as he grunts “Fuck” under his breath. “You owe me twenty cowgirls and reverse cowgirls once I get him out,” he whispers. And I laugh as he shouts, “Come in,” and Ice walks in.

“Hey, boss; hey, Lexi,” Ice says.

“Hi, Ice,” I giggle because Bruce is tickling me. “Stop it, Bruce,” I say just as he kisses me in front of Ice. He’s staking a claim. I’m quick to break the kiss. I get up as Bruce smacks my ass.

Ice is staring at him, and I can’t tell if he’s okay with our relationship; we’ve obviously blurred the lines of our protection relationship.

“Can we go to the store and get another set of puzzles tomorrow?” I ask Ice, and I hear a sharp

“No” behind me. I turn to Bruce, whose demeanor has changed from giggles to authoritative.

“Ice and I go to stores together; we just need to pick up items we need.”

“No, Jola.”

I fold my arms, ready to fight him.

“Ice,” he commands, and I watch as Ice leaves the unit without a word.

“I will not gamble your safety, Jola,” he snaps.

“We have gone to the bookstore before.”

“Yes, but it wasn’t without my guys surveilling the area. Until I can have them do that, the answer is no.”

“Fine,” I snap back, walking past him to my room and slamming the door.

Guess our fucking honeymoon is over. I toss my body on the bed. He comes in a few minutes later.

“Jola,” he calls. I don’t answer. “Jola,” he calls again and comes to lay next to me on the bed. “You must trust me when I say no to something. This is what I do, and I’m very good at my job.”

I nod. “Until my guys check the place out, I can’t let you go there. Each time you go, it’s surveilled ahead of time,” he firmly states.

“Okay, can you order another puzzle set for me? I want a landscape or a city.”

“I’ll have Grayson order it. You’ve infected him, and some of the guys, with your puzzling. They all come to my office now, and I keep shouting at them not to touch the one in my office. I know Grayson still defies me.”

I laugh.

He pulls me into a tight hug.
