Hanna’s heart squeezed a little at his words. They felt like a bruise, like he’d been saying the same thing to himself again and again for days, weeks, months, like on the grand scale of the universe, it was difficult to define worth it against the weight of his soul. She glanced at Ash, but his pretty blue eyes were clouded over with a type of concern that only made Hanna’s own rise.
“Have you…talked to someone about it?” she broached. “My department has people. I know that’s not the best endorsement right now, consider someone is sharing secrets, but…”
“We have people too,” Ash said pointedly, and Hanna had the odd sense that this wasn’t the first time they’d shared this conversation. “We keep a rotation of therapists, for the women and families who need them. Some are local and some are remote. It’s one of the ways we help people settle into their new lives.”
Hanna glanced back at Nicco, but he was ignoring both of them. “I don’t want to put anyone in an uncomfortable position,” he bit out. “We work together.”
Hanna wanted to reply, but she could see the walls going up, see the drawbridge pulling tight. It wouldn’t get them anywhere to push Nicco, and it especially wouldn’t be helpful to seem like they were ganging up on him. She had little doubt that he could use support after all that he had survived the year before, but a person had to be ready, had to be willing or at least open, to stepping into that support. Hanna knew that she was a blunt instrument all on her own, and a thousand times worse when Ash was involved. No, they would have to find another way to show Nicco he wasn’t alone, one that could really make a difference.
At the moment, however, she was all too aware of how Nicco’s hand was no longer stroking her curls, but pulling at her hair in that achingly sweet teasing way that had her arching her back and pressing into the sofa. Ash wasn’t much better, stroking her feet, her calves, his fingers exploring and unabashed, even over her jeans.
Hanna let her head fall back against Nicco’s strong shoulder. “What are we doing here?”
It was maybe the question she should have asked the night before, or even that morning when Ash had buried himself inside her, but there had been far more important things on her mind in those moments.
And, increasingly, in this one.
“We’re making you feel good, Leone,” Nicco murmured, kissing the column of her throat. “We’re giving you everything you told Ash you wanted this morning.”
Her breath caught. “And what about you? I heard every filthy thing you begged him for.”
He nipped at her collarbone. “Good. I don’t want there to be any secrets about how much we want you.”
“And each other…” Hanna pressed.
She felt Nicco’s grin against her skin. “You’re as bad as he is, Leone. And here I thought you’d be on your knees next to me, begging properly.”
“I can beg,” she managed. “If given the right incentive.”
Ash lifted her legs from his lap, then straddled her, until Hanna was caught between the two of them.
She lifted her hand to Ash’s jaw while reaching for Nicco with the other. “The angel and the devil.”
“Your angel,” Nicco murmured against her ear, creating tantalizing patterns with his finger at the pulse point of her wrist.
“E il tuo diavolo,” Ash added.
Against Hanna’s back, Nicco’s cock throbbed.
“I think he likes it when you speak Italian,” Hanna whispered.
Nicco was half buried in her hair, biting and nipping at her neck like a man consumed. “So fucking hot, my devil. Your tongue was meant for those words.”
“That’s not all it was meant for,” Ash teased. “Fuck, look at you two. Will you be good for me, just for tonight?”
Hanna swallowed her reply, because as much as instinct had her bucking and squirming to fight and snap, more than that, she wanted to submit, to show him she could do as he asked, to let Ash and Nicco take her to the edge and over as many times as they thought she deserved.
“Yes, Daddy,” she managed, the word tasting too right on her tongue, like a tart sweet she’d been saving for a rainy day, indulgent, decadent.
Dangerous.
Both of them throbbed then, Nicco’s cock pressing against her ass, and Ash against her inner thigh. If she shifted even slightly, they’d be pressing their swollen tips together right at her entrance.
“You’re going to kill me,” Ash bit out, before slanting his mouth over hers, stealing a kiss in every sense of the word, until Hanna was breathless and panting. He leaned over and did the same to Nicco, their kiss a battle, ramping up into a frenzy of heat and dark, masculine moans. “Hanna, help Nic with his pants.”
She shifted, but Ash didn’t let her out of the cage of his arms, so she turned on her hands and knees to slowly undo the button on Nicco’s riding pants. When the fly was open, his cock sprung free, straining at the top of his waistband, and Hanna didn’t think twice before leaning down to lick the leaky head.
Nicco swore in Italian and Ash slipped his hand into Hanna’s hair, guiding her back down to Nicco’s swollen cock, guiding her up and down until they were fucking him together.
