Jackhammer stared at her. “What?”

“My father's brother,” she said.

Ghost frowned. “Viper had a brother?”

“Yes,” she said. Angel couldn't take her eyes off the screen. “Dominic Sanchez.”

Monster looked at her. “Why haven't we heard about him?”

“Because he disappeared after my mother died,” she said.

Jackhammer's stomach tightened. “Disappeared how?”

“Nobody knew where he went or if he was even still alive,” she said. The man on the monitor reached into his jacket, and Every Toxic Monster in the room tensed. He didn't pull a weapon. He pulled out a phone, and Ghost's rang. An unknown number appeared on the screen. They looked at each other as Ghost answered on speaker.

“Talk,” he ordered.

A man's voice filled the room. “Put Angel on.”

Ghost looked at her. “No.”

Angel held out her hand. “Yes.” Ghost hesitated and then gave her the phone. Angel lifted it. “Dominic?”

“Hello, little bird.” Angel's eyes filled. Jackhammer knew immediately that the nickname meant something to her.

“You used to call me that,” she said. “Where have you been?”

“Trying to finish what your mother started,” he admitted.

Angel glanced toward the safe containing the ledger. “You know about it?”

“I know everything about it,” he said.

“Then why are you here?” she asked.

“Because you're not finished,” he said. Jackhammer's jaw tightened at the mention of one more fucking secret. Angel seemed to think the same thing.

“Oh, I am finished,” she insisted.

“No, you're not,” he countered. “Angelina—”

“Don't call me that,” she insisted.

Then Dominic sighed. “You sound like Elena.”

“So everyone keeps telling me,” she said.

“Then maybe you'll listen,” he said.

“To what?” she asked.

“Razor isn't the head of the network,” he said. Angel looked at Monster, and Ghost's expression hardened. Jackhammer was suddenly very tired of criminal conspiracies.

“Then who is?” Angel asked. Dominic didn't answer. “Uncle Dom?”

“Look at the ledger,” he instructed.

“We did,” she said.
