“It’s fine.” I wave him off, taking a sip of my water.
“Do I have cooties or something?” Quinn teases.
Beck chuckles, and once again, I’m grateful to Quinn for being able to make any situation comfortable. I swear, she’s more likable than anyone I’ve ever met. Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky finding her and getting her to marry me.
“No,” he says. “I just didn’t want to come between you two.”
His statement obviously means more than just his spot on the couch.
Quinn sets her drink on the coffee table. “You’re not.” She scoots closer to him, and when he doesn’t move away or try to stop her, she gets nearer until she can place a hand on his thigh.
Beck looks from her hand and then to me. I sit back in my chair and cross my leg over my knee to show that I’m not uncomfortable with her touching him. This is what we’re here to do, and we’re never going to get more comfortable with each other if we sit here acting like we do have cooties.
“You’re sure?” he asks us both.
“We’re sure,” I say.
“We are,” Quinn adds. “But it’s okay to be nervous. Noah spent forever doing his hair for you.”
“I did not!” I scoff.
Beck eyes my hair with an amused expression. “It looks good.”
I bite my tongue instead of arguing and losing said argument. Quinn is right; I did spend an exorbitant amount of time doing my hair. I also quite like the way Beck is looking at me now, as if he wants to run his hands through my locks before pulling them.
My body heats. “Thank you. Quinn ended up helping.”
She chuckles. “Barely.”
“And are you nervous?” Beck asks Quinn.
She pauses and looks down at her hand on his thigh before moving it up a tad. Not high enough to touch his cock but enough that the thick muscles of his quad bunch.
“I should be, but I’m not.”
Beck places his hand over hers. “Good. One of us should have a clear head tonight.”
“I’ll do my best, but I’m in a room with two attractive men, so no guarantees.”
He strokes his thumb over her knuckles. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
They stare at each other, their eyes so locked in it’s as if I’m not even there. It feels like my final test, the moment I get to decide if this is going to be too much for me. But it’s not.
Instead, I’m thrown back into the ideas that have already been on my mind, fantasies I never thought I could consider, let alone want or attain.
“Oh!” Quinn chirps.
I sit up straighter in my chair, taking another sip of my water to cool me and my thoughts down while Quinn takes her hand out from under Beck’s.
“I forgot to say I borrowed a little something from Phil and Josie.”
“Oh, boy,” I muse.
Quinn reaches into her dress pocket, pulling out a pair of red dice and a piece of paper.
“I know what those are,” Beck says, head tilting slightly.
“Care to enlighten me?” I ask.
