“Yes. I just need to finish. I’m so close.” She panted.
“Take your hands off my pussy and wait for me. Can you do that for me?”
“I don’t know.”
“I’ll make it worth it. You trust me to do that?”
“Yes,” she grumbled.
“Well wait for your man. I’m sending you my address when you hang up. Don’t make me wait too long.”
I woke up at five without having to set an alarm. I usually got Victor up for school at six thirty. It was such a struggle to get him up on school days that I didn’t have to worry about him popping up trying to be nosy when Shiloh got here.
It was a wonder I slept at all as I anticipated pushing my way back between her warm, cozy walls. I didn’t even know what I wanted to do to her first. Thankfully, it wouldn’t be long before Shiloh was back in my arms. To get a jump on the day, I took a shower and brushed my teeth.
By the time I heard a knock at the door, I was so anxious that I almost tripped over a pair of Vick’s shoes in the middle of the living room. I recovered without breaking my damn neck and took a deep breath before tearing the door open. My heart sank when I came face-to-face with Trisha.
“Trish, what the hell are you doing here so early?”
“I thought I could see Victor before he left for school.”
“It’s five thirty in the morning, Trisha.”
“I don’t know what time y’all leave. I was in the area, so I came on over. I wanted to spend as much time with him as I could.”
“You didn’t think you should call before just showing up over here?”
“Not to see my own damn son.”
“I’m not dragging him out of bed at five in the morning. He doesn’t have to get up for another hour.”
I beat myself up internally for saying that. I wasn’t absolutely sure that if I weren’t expecting Shiloh any minute now that I would have tried to get rid of Trisha. She hadn’t seen Victor in months. I knew he would drag his groggy self out of bed and eagerly jump up to see his mama.
“You’re the one that told me to come see him. I wasn’t even thinking about bothering y’all.”
“I know, Trish. Where are you going to be when he gets out of school? I will come pick you up.”
“You ain’t picking up shit! I’m here now. I done got my homeboy to drop me off all the fucking way over here. Now you wanna play games.”
“Trisha, calm down. I’m just saying, it’s early as hell.”
“Boy, get out my way. Where is my damn son? Victor!” she screamed as she tried to shove past me.
It was just my luck that Shiloh’s car whipped into my driveway right as Trish ducked under my arm.
“Victor!” She continued to shout as she marched through the house.
I was torn about which direction to go in. Since Trisha was already in the house, I stepped out of the threshold and walked out to Shiloh’s car. I shook my head as I made my way to her. I had no idea what she was thinking. After waiting for her all night, Trisha finally decided to show up at the very moment that she arrived.
“Double-booked?” she asked, lifting her brows as the window eased down.
“That’s Victor’s mom. I didn’t know she was coming.”
She quickly shrugged. “Oh, well I guess I’ll see you later.”
The window was going up before I could even respond. “Baby, wait,” I said, sticking my hand in the window, hoping to stop it before it was all the way up.
Thankfully, Shiloh didn’t roll my hand up in the window. “Move your hand, Quinton. I have to get to work. I have Rhonda opening without me.”
