I tousle my hair. “The color. I love a soft pink, so when I had to choose a club name, it just made sense.”

“So you’re dating someone?” Shadow says to me as I sit in the chair across from him.

Blush went home a few hours ago and it’s been the elephant in the room ever since. I’ve never introduced my brothers to anyone because no one has been significant enough.

“It’s more than dating. I don’t know the word for it but he’s mine now.”

Shadow huffs a laugh. “Hit men. When you fall, you fall hard.”

“Can’t argue that.”

He nods, folding his hands on the desk. “So what did you want to talk about?”

“A job.” I exhale slowly. I have no idea what’s next if he says no. “For Blush.”

“A job?” He raises an eyebrow. “What kind of job?”

“The only kind of job you have.”

“You want your man to join us?”

“He already does it on his own. He’s been hunting down predators for a while now. Remember the serial killer I thought we had?”
