Nick: The Billionaire Star of NHL
Page 58
Sierra: Nick, you need to zoom to even see him.
Sierra: He’s so far away from me.
Nick: Don’t play with me right now, Sierra.
Sierra: I didn’t know he was there. I didn’t see him all night.
Nick: Doesn’t mean I’m okay with him breathing the same air as you.
Sierra: Now you know how I felt when I saw your photo.
There’s a long pause. And I think maybe he doesn’t have anything else to say. But then…
Nick: I hate this distance.
Nick: I want you, baby. All the damn time.
Sierra: I know. I do too.
Sierra: And you’ve already got me.
Nick: I love you with all my fucking heart, Ser.
Nick: Please, don’t doubt me. Ever.
Sierra: I love you too, Nickolas.
Nick: You looked sexy as fuck last night, by the way.
Sierra: HAHAHA. Thank you.
Nick: You’re not allowed to wear something like that again if you’re out without me.
Sierra: You can’t be serious.
Sierra: I can wear whatever I want, Nick.
Nick: Dead serious.
Nick: You can wear whatever you want only when you’re with me.
Sierra: You’re crazy. And delusional.
Nick: Crazy about you, baby.
I exit the chat and toss the phone over the pillows, grinning like a schoolgirl with her first crush. And somehow, that’s also true. Because my first fucking crush is Nickolas Hardy—my future husband.
My cheeks are sore from smiling, and I bury my face in the pillow, chuckling like a teenager. This man has me losing my mind. In the best way.
“Hey, girls. You up?” I hear from my living room. “Kai is making pancakes.”
“OMG. I can’t even open my eyes,” Thalia mutters, voice thick with sleep. “Coming,” she suddenly yells, stretching under the covers like a lazy cat.
“I thought you couldn’t keep your eyes open,” I tease, laughing.
“I’ll never refuse pancakes, Ser.” She smirks, rolling onto her side. “Not to mention the men waiting for us in your kitchen.”
“The men or the man? As in Ethan?” I ask, raising my brows playfully.
