She pulls it out. Reads something. And goes white as a sheet.

“No… no, this can’t be. This is a joke. Right?”

I don’t say a word. But the smirk on my lips says it all. I know what message she just got.

Right after we landed, I messaged the GM. Told him I wanted her gone. And clearly, he’s just handled it.

Samantha stumbles back, hands shaking, and bolts from the bar without another word.

Chase blinks after her, eyebrows raised.

“What the hell just happened?”

I just shrug.

Aiden narrows his eyes. “Did that message have anything to do with you?

I’m not even hiding my satisfaction. “Let’s just say the assistant GM position is now officially open.”

He laughs, along with anyone else, and just then one of the media girls approaches me—the one who filmed the TikToks on the plane.

She looks nervous.

„Nick… I meant to tell you something earlier..After I finished filming, I was about to bring your phone back to you, but Samantha snatched it from my hands. Said she’d give it to you. But I saw her keep it at her seat. She didn’t bring it to you until much later.”

Her voice drops, her eyes flicking up to mine cautiously.

“I’m sorry. I should’ve said something sooner. I didn’t mean to cause trouble. I just… I know how she is.”

I barely register what she’s saying, because just then, my phone buzzes. A string of notifications lights up my screen.

News alerts. Articles. Photos.

I tap one open, and I feel my entire body freeze.

In a club.

Shot after shot. Laughing. Dancing.

Thalia’s with her. And then.

Colt.

His hand around her waist.

Then walking out together.

A photo of her in his car, face turned, trying to hide from the camera.

My breath catches, punching out of me. My pulse spikes. My jaw clenches so tight it aches. I stand up so fast my stool topples.

“Nick?” Someone calls after me.

But I don’t answer. I walk out of the bar without a word, fists clenched, every step weighted by a pressure I can barely hold back.
