A ceiling fan slowly turns to keep the room cool.
The ceiling sways with camouflage netting. The walls are covered in wallpaper, which is embossed with trees like we are lost in a wild wood.
And I’m the big bad wolf.
I leap onto the bed, driving her onto her back beneath me.
My Omega appears delighted, rather than terrified, to be held down beneath my thighs.
She isn’t looking at me like I am a monster, but as if I am her god.
When I rumble a growl, she responds with a purr. She humps her hips up against mine, as if she is eager for anything that I can give her.
Primal possessiveness overwhelms me.
I drag her arms above her head, flicking my gaze with satisfaction to the bondage points on the bed.
“Bite me.” My Omega turns her head to the side, exposing her neck.
Dangerous.
I shiver, desperate to sink in my teeth.
All I can see, smell, and think about is the Omega.
She is my world.
I am caught in her cyclone.
Need to fuck.
Rut.
Bond.
Mine.
I lower my teeth toward my Omega’s neck.
Then I snarl, jerking in outrage at the tug on my hair.
“No you don’t, cowboy.” Rhett’s amused voice rumbles at my ear, as he drags me back from the Omega’s neck harder by the hair. “Told you that I’d hold you and never let go. What the hell made you reckon you’d be in charge? Ain’t that precious?”
CHAPTER NINETEEN
Acorn Inn, Oak Hollow
Luca
I snarl, thrashing on the silk sheets.
I am feral, unhinged.
Rhett slams me down by the shoulders. “Where do you reckon you’re going?”
I snap at him, but he grabs my wrists. He drags them above my head.
When I hear the click of the bed’s restraints closing around my wrists and the cold metal on my skin, I buck wildly.
