“Fuck me, Sky,” I beg unnecessarily.
He finds my prostate and caresses it with stroke after stroke. My eyes roll up into my head, and the only working brain cell wonders if it’s possible to die in a state of sexual nirvana.
“Look at me when you come,” Sky pants, and as our eyes meet, I explode. He’s my anchor in the storm, tethering me to reality…to him.
He stiffens as he comes, and his face takes on the angelic quality I love. He’s always been otherworldly, but he’s the most beautiful when he comes. Big brown eyes that let me into his soul, red-kissed lips, and a pert nose.
My heart bangs in my chest to be closer to him. I take his nape and lower him to me, my release sticky between us.
“Can we sleep now?” I cuddle him on my chest.
“No,” Sky murmurs. “I’ll clean you up in a second.” He sets his chin on his fist resting on my chest. “Was it good for you?”
“Umm, I’m paralyzed with pleasure. Is that a thing?” My hand covers his ass so he can’t pull out.
“You ain’t seen nothing yet.” He nips my nipple. “Being with a flexible dancer has its advantages. Wait until I suck you while I fuck you.”
“I’ll die,” I moan, and my dick twitches with interest.
“And I’ll bring you back to life.”
That’s a promise for the ages.
Chapter 38
Skylar Engelhardt/ Lark Angel
The bed’s still warm even though Mav left for practice, and it’s so comfy I ignore my phone. I’ve been fucked and fucked again within an inch of my life. Every part of me desires to stay here until Mav comes home, and we can do it over and over again.
The constant text beeps have stopped, but whoever is trying to reach me calls twice in a row. It’s my personal phone that few people have the number for, so irrational thoughts propel me out of bed to answer Lo’s call.
“Hey.” Lo drags out the word with uncertainty.
“What’s up?” I flop back onto the bed, irritation ringing in my voice because this doesn’t sound very emergency-ee.
“I got a call from a friend of a friend, but he’s a reliable source.” He hesitates.
“Lo, spit it out, or I’m hanging up.” I should be in a better mood after all the sex, but my gut tells me reality is ready for a fistfight.
“A reporter, or more accurately a gossip whore, got through hospital security to talk to Paul. They’ve sold the story that you’re a sex worker to a major news organization. This is spreading faster than a computer virus. I can be there in ten minutes to help you figure this out. Recheck your doors are locked and close the blinds.”
If I weren’t lying down, I’d collapse. This is my worst fear coming true. My life is going to ruin Mav’s. I’ll be infamous and drag him into hell with me. He’s too good a man to let me face this alone.
“Are you there?” Lo asks.
“Yeah. I’m gonna call Mav first and let you know.” We hang up, but I get sent to voicemail on Mav’s phone. No surprise, he’s probably watching film or in the weight room.
My mind is an endless loop of disasters for me and Mav. I can’t see a future where he doesn’t resent the bomb I tossed into his life.
I dial the last number I expect. Mav’s mom. Warning her is the right thing to do. This is our worst nightmare coming true.
She greets me with cheer but sobers as soon as I explain the situation.
“Doesn’t the team have people who do that stuff? That nice man, Finn, handles the press and talks to the media, right? Can he help in this situation?”
“You’re not ready to toss me to the wolves?” I’m now dressed because it seems more appropriate when speaking to Mrs. Maher.
She pauses, and I have a heart attack while waiting for her answer.
