Twisted Control

by Olivia Radwell

The orgasm crashes over me. I cry out into the sheets, clenching around his cock, shaking uncontrollably as wave after wave rips through me.

Drew keeps thrusting through it, rough and relentless, until he buries himself deep with a low groan. I feel him pulse hard inside me as he comes, hips grinding against me like he can’t get close enough.

For a long moment, the only sound in the room is our breathing.

My arms give out. I collapse onto the mattress. Drew disappears into the bathroom without a word. I hear water running, a towel being pulled from the rack. When he comes back, he slides into bed and pulls me straight onto his chest like it’s the most natural thing in the world.

I should leave now. I know I should.

Instead I melt into him, cheek pressed to the steady thump of his heart. His warmth sinks into my skin, and then that feeling comes back. That warm, safe feeling. Like nothing can touch me while I’m wrapped up in him.

This is my favorite part.

His fingers move slowly through my hair and I close my eyes, smiling faintly against his chest.

Then my throat tightens.

The smile disappears.

And suddenly everything I’ve been holding together for months just...breaks.

The pressure. The constant pretending. The feeling that my entire life is slipping through my fingers.

A tear slips free before I can stop it.

Then another.

Oh, shit.

I turn my face into his neck, trying to hide it, but the sob catches anyway. Then another follows, ugly and impossible to control once they start.

Drew just gathers me closer against him, one hand sliding up my back while the other keeps stroking gently through my hair.

“I’ve got you,” he murmurs against my temple.

That only makes me cry harder. He keeps saying it until the worst of it finally passes and I’m left exhausted and shaking against him.

I can’t remember the last time I cried like that.

I can’t remember the last time I cried at all.

But everything in my life feels impossible lately. My parents are getting divorced, my entire future feels unstable, and somehow the only place I feel safe is in the arms of the single most inappropriate man I could possibly choose.

By the time I finally stop sobbing, my face burns with embarrassment. Drew shifts beneath me until he can see my face properly. His thumb brushes gently over my cheek, wiping away the last damp trace of tears with a tenderness that almost breaks me all over again.

He really can be sweet when he wants to be.

I give him a small, shaky smile and immediately hide my face against his shoulder again.

“I’m so embarrassed,” I mumble.

“It’s alright, baby.” His fingers drift lazily through my hair. “I know you’re catching feelings.”

I freeze.

Slowly, I lift my head. “What?”

Drew pushes himself up slightly, looking far too calm about this.
